‘DWTS’ Takes on ‘Gangnam Style’ in Hot Mess of a Routine (VIDEO)

TV Addict 5

Dancing With the Stars Gangnam StyleOn last night's Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars' "guilty pleasures" week, four celebs (and their pro partners) had to step up and perform a team dance. What better song to dance to on a "guilty pleasures" week than Psy's ridiculous YouTube hit, "Gangnam Style"?

Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Gilles Marini & Peta Murgatroyd, Kelly Monaco & Val Chmerkovskiy, and Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke definitely rose to the challenge with this freestyle dance, culminating in host Tom Bergeron saying, "That's the most fun I've had in 15 seasons."

All the dancers pretty much ended up half-naked, getting pelted with confetti and silly string, and made the audience go nuts. It may have been an unsynchronized tornado of stripping, dancing, imaginary horse-riding chaos, but who cares, it was a whole lot of fun.

For your viewing pleasure:

Yeah, ballroom dancing to a Korean pop hit? Never thought I'd see the day. The whole routine was just hilariously weird, crazy, fun, and as Carrie Ann Inaba called it, "a hot mess." But that's the whole philosophy behind "Gangnam Style," as Psy puts it: "Dress classy and dance cheesy." Pretty sure Psy would have been proud of this rendition too.

So, folks, it's official, "Gangnam Style" hasn't quite died yet, and hopefully it won't any time soon. It's just way too much fun. Hope all you Dancing With the Stars fans enjoyed this one last night!

Do you watch DWTS? Did you enjoy the group "Gangnam Style" routine?

I really didn't care for this routine at all and it really made me rethink how I feel about Gilles. He acted bossy and arrogant and he acted like he was the pro dancer telling everyone what to do. Then when he took off his towel at the end, you could tell how full of himself he was. I didn't care for it at all and it didn't even compare the the cheer leader one from the night before.

This was perfect. This group knew they didn't have the talent of the other group, so they weren't even going to try to outdance them. This was a freestyle, so they had the opportunity to do whatever they wanted. It made a lot of people smile. It was fun.

It was also much needed, as it feels like people are taking this current season way to seriously. It added much needed levity. And the audience clearly loved this one, you could tell they didn't really care for the other team's dance no matter how technically sound it was.

I don't watch DWTS any more, but after watching the vid, it looks like they were all having a good time.  I got a good laugh out of it.

Really and truly, did not like this dance routine. I watch' Dancing With the Stars' to see elegant , classy,  and the utmost in skillful talented dances. This was not!  To me, this was a display of a bunch of foolishness.  Come on you talented professional dancers....keep up the quality and class of this show, not this kind of display. Disappointed.

many many times! It was crazy, fun, they had a great time doing it! The ballroom audience loved it with loud prolonged applause and cheers. Lighten up, what is not to love! It was pure entertainment at its best! The clips of Gilles acting bossy with Max were just for the effect. They all were congratulating each other at the end of the number saying well done group! They did exactly as they should have, entertained, had a blast, and put on a really fun, good show!
