Many Twilight fans were a little bit disappointed with the love scene in Breaking Dawn: Part 1. Granted, this series could never cross the line into graphic rated R territory (too bad!), but a broken headboard here, some making out there -- it was kind of as PG as you can get. Even Kristen Stewart admitted that scene was kind of a "bummer." And if it's boring enough to bum out humdrum Kristen Stewart, well ...
That means lots of folks are hoping they're going to step it up in Breaking Dawn: Part 2, especially when dealing with a rather infamous sex scene. If you're not interested in hearing about what that scene is, or what Robert Pattinson had to say about it (it's pretty funny), don't click through because there are some BD2 spoilers ahead!
It's easy to see why Twilight fans are excited to see Edward & Bella hooking up as super sexy vampires for the first time. They're beautiful, they'll never have a hair out of place, they don't have to worry about silly human needs, they don't even need to use the bathroom or take breaks, Edward doesn't have to be careful with a fragile human any longer, so they just bring it all. Night. Long. But here's what Pattinson had to say when filming said scene:
"The sex scene in this one is pretty ridiculous," Pattinson said in an interview with an Australian talk show. "It's just because you're kind of shooting stuff to be PG-13 ... It's just trying to think of inventive ways to make something sexy ... It can't just be a normal sex scene. It's supposed to be about, like, the greatest vampire sex you've ever had."
It must be really tough filming the greatest vampire sex ever ... and only doing the PG-13 version. So how do they go about doing it? RPattz said that a lot of the scene will utilize super-tight close-ups on their faces "of ecstasy." Can you imagine what KStew's "face of ecstasy" is gonna look like? Will lip-biting be involved? And on top of that, everyone working on the scene found it to be ... funny. "We're just sitting there by ourselves. There wasn't even anyone else in the scene. We're doing it just to the camera, and the camera man is laughing as well ... Guys' faces aren't really designed to do [that]."
Ohhh boy. Doesn't sound like the best plug for building up one of the hottest vampire sex scenes to grace the silver screen (at least in Twilight's fans' minds), does it? Then again, they don't call it "movie magic" for nothing. Let's hope a PG-13 collage of Robert's and Kristen's "ecstasy faces" will give Breaking Dawn: Part 2 the shot of lust it needs to get over the disappointing sex scene from Part 1.
