Okay, obviously there's one BIG question hanging in the zombie stench-ridden air after last week's Season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead, and that is ... well, hang on. You DID watch last week's Season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead, right? Because otherwise that big question will end up being a huge spoiler for you. And I don't want to spoil your day. So, you know the drill -- stop reading now if you don't want you day spoiled!!
Okay, where were we? Oh yeah. So obviously the big question hanging in the zombie stench-ridden air is: WILL HERSHEL MAKE IT?! I mean, the whole idea of amputation as an effective method of zombification prevention is relatively untested. Medically-speaking. Is there hope for Hershel, really? And even if he doesn't turn into a zombie, how the hell is he gonna keep on keepin' on in that crazy world with just one leg?!
Also, will Michonne's zombie slaves ever prove to be useful as anything other than pack mules? Never mind, pack mules WOULD be pretty damn useful during a zombie apocalypse, I guess.
My gut tells me the gang is gonna be down one white-haired member after tonight, but I hope I'm wrong. Even after watching this preview clip, I can't really be sure ... what do you think?
Will Hershel survive tonight's episode of The Walking Dead?

its so different from the comics,i have no clue.
Michonne's zombie pets are really an effective form of camouflage. She's removed their arms and jaws so they pose no threat to her and their scent (plus, I'm guessing that awesome hooded jacket of hers) help mask her human scent to other walkers who she may encounter. I'm pretty sure they go over that in the comics, but it's been a while since I read them.
I really hope Herschel makes it! Otherwise, Lori's going to be in bigger trouble than she already is!
I've never read the comics but that's what I just assumed, that their scent masked her own.
I am waiting for Lori's unborn/undead seed to kill her and eat Carl.
I love this show so much!
I have always held the notion its not a bite that kills you from a zombie its the infection. Just think of how many germs are in that mouth! EW! Also they are already infected so its not like he suddenly caught it. If you could stave of the infection and fever you could theoretically make it just fine.
Also might I add if they have very little to no brain activity how will a blow to the head kill a zombie? Wouldn't it need to be to the neck to cut the spine that Jenner showed on the video?
