Lindsay Lohan's Romney Endorsement Is a HUGE Political Game Changer

Eye Roll 20

Last night's feisty VP debate teed up some stark economic and social policy choices, and now it's up to President Barack Obama and GOP rival Mitt Romney to battle it out in the final stretch of the presidential election. With less than a month to go, the stakes are higher than ever -- and the endorsement from a prominent, respected public figure can make all the difference in the world in shifting campaign dynamics.

That's why this breaking news is such an enormously important moment in a highly competitive presidential run: Mitt Romney has received an endorsement from one of our country's most influential voices. That person is, of course, Lindsay Lohan.

It was just four years ago that Lindsay Lohan eloquently described Obama’s Presidential victory as “amazing,” but it seems the carefree young actress has changed her mind in recent years. Last night at one of Los Angeles's high-profile political events, the Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink Launch Party, Lohan issued a powerful statement to reporters:

I just think employment is really important right now. So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now. It's a long story.

I can only imagine that Mitt Romney is over the moon, because there's no doubt that Lindsay Lohan is an electoral force. Not only will her stirring words likely galvanize any remaining undecided voters, but she lends a true sense of trust and credibility to the Romney campaign.

Lohan joins a number of other incredibly influential celebrities who have endorsed Romney, including Chuck Norris:

We will preserve for our children this last best hope for man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness.

Sex tape star Hulk Hogan:

We need a change. I'm just waiting for someone to take the lead and run.

Clueless's Stacy Dash, who referred to Romney as "The only choice for your future" while tweeting the following patriotic image:

And, of course, William Tapley, "Third Eagle of the Apocalypse" and Denver International Airport Phallic Symbol Alarmist, who recorded this amazing victory song:

In conclusion, I for one am eager to more of Lindsay Lohan's political beliefs and I'm thrilled she's speaking out on behalf of young people everywhere. A vote from Lindsay is, after all, a vote for a better world.

What do you think of Lindsay Lohan's Romney endorsement?

Why would anyone be influenced by what any celebrity says?

This is a joke right? "There's no doubt that Lindsay Lohan is an electoral force." If by electoral force you mean alcoholic, delusional, washed-up child actor that no one has taken seriously in many, many years. I actually laughed reading this entire article.

A vote's a vote. Whether it's hers, yours or mine, they're all alike in the box.

With Lindsay supporting Romney and Mila Kunis supporting Obama it's going to be a real close call now! Haha, Floridamom, I agree, who would be influenced by a celebrity? No one I hope! I do love Linda's sarcasm, though. This may be a stretch, and this isn't to say that Lindsay doesn't really support Romney, because she definitely could, but a tiny part of me wonders if she did this for publicity? Ever heard the saying, "If you're young and conservative you don't have a heart, if you're old and liberal you don't have a brain?" (Or something of that nature.) Maybe Lindsay is tired of people thinking she "doesn't have a brain." Although she'd need to do a lot more than support Romney to prove that she actually does!

P.S. Apparently I'm still waiting for my brain. I'm only in my 20's though, I think I still have time! ;)

Cayla, maybe you're not familiar with Linda's writing but she is so awesomely sarcastic. Obviously Linda doesn't think LiLo is really an electrical force...do you Linda?! Haha.

I'm trying to think of the most tactful way to point out that given the GOP's War on Women, specifically with regard to birth control and abortion, the undiscriminating LiLo might need to reconsider.

Seriously though, any woman planning to vote GOP is a traitor to her gender. Brave women spent the last century fighting for voting rights, reproductive rights and labor rights - and now that we have them, we can't regress.

Bahahahaha! This made my day. And um, oh my wha???? That Chuck Norris tweet was intense! lol

Oh jeez, thank God. I'm fairly new to this site, so no, I am not familiar with her writing, but I am VERY glad that this was, indeed, a joke. I actually lost quite a bit of faith in humanity thinking that it wasn't. haha Thank you for that info, Llilypad!

Thank you, Jen, for pointing out what should be so screamingly obvious to all women....
