It's only the second week of the Dancing With the Stars All-Star season, but already, this group of competitors is proving that it's going to take a hell of a lot more than perfect moves to take home the mirror ball trophy this time around.
And while all of the cast members are giving it all they've got to impress the judges, clear front-runners are definitely emerging. Sabrina Bryan, Apolo Ohno, and Shawn Johnson may have earned high scores from the judges after their performances tonight -- but sometimes the scores don't necessarily guarantee being safe for another week after the votes are tallied.
It takes a hell of a lot more than high scores to win, which Kirstie Alley obviously realizes. She's always been a real firecracker, and tonight she gave viewers so much more than an entertaining performance -- especially with one particular comment she made. (And no, I'm not talking about when she made that "Fifty Shades of Maks" joke.)
Right before Kirstie and Maks were given their scores for their jive, she spoke the following words of wisdom, which struck a chord with all of us watching at home and made us want to stand up and cheer:
"The only thing you can ever be in life is yourself because that's the only thing someone else can't be."
Wow. Can I get an amen for that incredible dose of reality that all of us definitely needed to hear? I can only hope to be as confident and comfortable in my own skin at 35 as Kirstie is at 60. If only all of us had our priorities as straight as she does, we'd be a hell of a lot happier. (And how great did she look tonight? The whole flapper look really suits her.)
If Kirstie doesn't make it through tomorrow night's elimination round, it will be a huge shock, not to mention a horrible disappointment. And as for who will probably wind up going home, I think most fans will agree that this may be the end of the road for Bristol Palin. She really is a sweet girl and she looks amazing and has come so far -- but she just isn't in the same league as the majority of the other dancers.

Who do you think deserves to go home this week? And did you find Kirstie Alley inspiring tonight?

I don't watch so I really can't say.
I agree!
Dancing wise, I feel either Bristol or Kirstie should go. But, it is a popularity thing too so it's hard to predict. This is going to be a really hard season. They're all so good. I'm not really sure why they threw in the few who didn't even make it to the finals with most of the stars winning. It's going to be popularity all the way and will never be predictable.
did Kristie cut her hair like this? I think they make good dancing partners
Wow, I can't believe she is 60! I think she is inspiring in so many ways including her comment you quoted and her weight loss and everything.
