anne hathaway weddingAll those cheating scandals got you down? Feeling a little like Love is Dead these days? Well cheer up. Anne Hathaway married her sweetheart Adam Schulman this weekend in Big Sur. Girlfriend single-handedly hand-in-handedly with Adam brought Romance back to life.

Just look at this dress. LOOK AT IT. It's the very same dress I used to draw as a little girl. It is THE fantasy wedding dress, all billowing froth like the very waves crashing in the sea behind her. And of course they're posed back-lit on a beach path with grassy sand dunes on either side -- OMG, I almost can't take it, it's all so perfect.

Do I even need to say this? The dress is a custom Valentino, of course. Valentino has said Anne's a very good friend of his. "She's like a daughter!" Gee whiz, of course she's friends with a designer known for his heart-meltingly romantic dresses.

Then there's the six-carat engagement ring -- oh yeah, Adam is a jewelry designer, so how perfect is that? And because he's not in "the industry" this must be a real love match, unlike all those other, ahem, rumored "contract" matches between stars.

Want more details about this wedding? Of course you do! A source says there was a rehearsal dinner at the gorgeous Ventana Inn and Spa and about 100 guests at the beach-side wedding at a private residence. 100 guests: In other words, the perfect amount for an intimate-but-not-too-small wedding. Apparently the decor was "inspired by nature" and featured lots of branches, no doubt in an utterly effortless way that did not look the least bit hipster. SIGH.

And just because I'm feeling all swept up in this fairy-tale wedding, let's recall how Anne once described falling in love with Adam: "I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!" Fools in love -- I swoon! Here's to many happy years together for Anne and Adam.
