The beautiful and talented Alicia Silverstone has taken time off from bird feeding her baby to make a famaze movie about vampires. Written and directed by Amy Heckerling, the genius behind Clueless and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Vamps stars Alicia and Krysten Ritter (The B in Apt 23) as vampires living in New York City, trying to balance life, work, love, and bloodsucking.
It sounds terrible, but it's not. The trailer sold me so hard I've already sent it around to all my friends with the subject line: WE'RE SO SEEING THS. It's campy, winky comedy at its best. Plus, Matthew Crowley from Downton Abbey is in it!
It makes me want to put on my most capable-looking outfit and head to the theater on November 3.
It's a limited release, so if it's not playing near you, don't worry, it'll be sold on Blu-ray and DVD starting November 13.
