Latest Emily Maynard Cheating Rumors Include Bribes & Hush Money

emily maynard bribesThere's another scandalous cheating rumor about Bachelorette Emily Maynard and Jef Holm, and I think this must be the worst. Remember how Jef's brother was blabbing that Jef had caught Emily texting another guy? Well, now Jef's girlfriend has told Us Weekly that Emily actually bribed Jef to keep quiet about it and stick with her -- and the bribe was his idea!

Jef's ex-girlfriend Kaylee Shepherd reportedly says that when Jef found out about Emily cheating, he gave her an ultimatum: "I can go to the media and tell them the truth and let everyone know what you're really like. Or two, I will deny the whole thing and you give me half the money you made from The Bachelorette." Jef extorting Emily for $125,000? I don't believe it!

No really, I honestly do not buy this story at all. I mean, I believe Emily may have cheated on Jef a little. Maybe she was text-flirting with some guy, and Jef's brother blew it out of proportion, and it turned into a whole THING. I can see that happening.

But I just don't see Jef demanding money from Emily to keep quiet. First of all, he's got plenty of money himself. He doesn't need to pick off Emily's earnings! And he's got enough money that $125,000 in bribes would just seem petty and spiteful. When have we ever seen Jef act petty and spiteful? ABC's editing couldn't have been that good.

Maybe I'm just incredibly naive, but I think Jef is more honorable than that. But even if he's no saint he has other reasons why he'd want to keeping Emily's supposed cheating a secret. Maybe he wants to save face for himself. I'm sure Emily's cheating rumors hurt his ego. He probably wants to keep up appearances for his own sake. But demanding payment? Whoa. I sure hope that's not true.

What do you think -- would Jef really demand money to keep quiet about Emily's alleged cheating?
