With so many actresses in Hollywood interested in playing Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, it's not exactly a big shock when another famous name gets thrown into the ring. It seems like just about everybody is bursting at the seams to play her, and that's why it's so refreshing when an unknown name comes out of the woodwork and lands on the table as a fresh possibility.
If you aren't familiar with the web series, 13 Witches, then you probably haven't heard of Lauren Watson. But as it turns out, the Australian-born star is addicted to the Fifty Shades of Grey series, and Lauren admits that she'd "definitely consider a role." And by "a role," I think it's safe to assume she's referring to Anastasia Steele -- and lucky for her, she already has one huge quality working in her favor. She totally looks the part.
With her dark hair, piercing eyes, and overall youthful look, she has all the makings of the perfect Anastasia Steele, and I'm guessing she'd be able to master the art of lip biting fairly quickly.

And after watching this trailer for the 13 Witches series, it appears as though Lauren has already had some experience with a dark and erotic role.
Ok, ok, so the series seems a bit amateurish, but you have to admit, this girl really does have all the makings of the perfect Anastasia. And that fact that she isn't well known in Hollywood is actually a good thing, because people will immediately associate her with Ana's role instead of having her past roles pop into their heads while watching the Fifty Shades of Grey flick.
And Lauren must already be getting her hopes up about landing the part, because she's already picked out her ideal Christian Grey. She'd most like to star opposite Chace Crawford, Matt Bomer, or Jessie Pavelka. (Who the heck is he? I hope he's not related to Jake Pavelka.)
If Lauren Watson doesn't wind up making the Fifty Shades short-list, there are a couple of other semi-unknown actresses who might be able to come into Ana's role without viewers having too many preconceived notions about them. Shailene Woodley has already caught E. L. James' eye, and Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke may be just off the radar enough to take over the spotlight as Ana.
