Ok, so let me start this off by saying that I couldn't be more excited about this season of Dancing With the Stars, because seeing all of our favorite past contestants compete again makes the show all that much more competitive and addicting. But while last night's DWTS season premiere was both entertaining and enjoyable, I guess I'll just go ahead and put it out there that tonight's results show was basically two hours of pure fluff -- right up until the end of the show.
And that's when Justin Bieber came out and lip-synched the hell out of his new single, "As Long as You Love Me," and convinced me even further that he's a force to be reckoned with. Because the Biebs doesn't even have to actually sing to make teenage girls scream and cry and mouth, "Oh my GOD" over and over again.
His performance alone was enough to keep viewers tuned into ABC instead of flipping the channels until the results were announced at the very end of the night. (Way to go, Biebs!)
In case you missed his big performance, here's the video clip. (It's worth watching for the crazy leather pants he had on -- trust me.)
But aside from hanging in there for the full two hours for the sake of seeing Justin's performance, finding out who would be the first All-Star cast member to go also managed to hold our attention, which brings us to the results part of the show.
It really wasn't a huge surprise that Bristol Palin and Pamela Anderson wound up in jeopardy tonight, though how Drew Lachey landed in the bottom three is kind of a mystery. I mean, he wasn't great last night, but he wasn't exactly horrible either. (Maybe he just doesn't have the same chemistry with Anna Trebunskaya as he did with Cheryl Burke?)
Thankfully, we'll get to see Drew dance for at least one more week, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy about Bristol coming back for another spin around the dance floor too. She looks amazing after getting herself in such great shape, and she does seem more confident this time around.
And let's be honest, Pamela Anderson really didn't deserve to be part of the this cast in the first place, so it's only fitting that she was the first to go home tonight. I highly doubt anyone is going to miss her.
What do you think -- should Bristol or Drew should've gone home instead of Pam?
