There's something about Ashton Kutcher ... With all we know about him at this point -- like his alleged penchant for hook-ups with younger women and need to be glued to technology 24/7/365 -- it seems like he'd be the last guy in Hollywood any completely eligible bachelorette would want to say "I do" to. But no! Doesn't matter! Mila Kunis still appears to be head over heels for him.
According to The National Enquirer (so you know take it as you will), Mila is now saying she and Ashton want to marry and raise children. What's more, she's assured stunned pals that he doesn't need a divorce from Demi, because the two were never legally married in a civil ceremony. Apparently, they were "wed" in a symbolic Kabbalah ceremony ONLY. Intttteresting. Yeah, it sounds like it could just be a buncha made-up tabloid hooey, but legit news sources have reported on this before!
A lawsuit was filed alleging that their marriage was not a legal union according to California law, and it is reportedly unknown whether Demi and Ashton possessed a marriage certificate. Seems like that might add up with the fact that the pair never officially filed for divorce, despite being "separated" for a year. But then again, one source says the hold-up could be "just a simple case of Demi not being able to bear to actually pull the trigger and still hoping against hope for a second try." Eeek.
Either way, it seems like never actually divorcing is a double-edged sword. Sure, divorces can get uber-messy, especially in Hollywood, but they're also perfect for having absolute, legal, definitive closure on the end of a relationship. They lay out ground rules for how finances or other matters between the pair are supposed to play out down the road. I'm not necessarily sure what about Demi and Ashton's dissolved relationship could come back to bite Mila and Ashton in the future, but who knows?
Then again, Mila's just got to accept that by marrying her former co-star, there are MANY issues that could come back to haunt her. Because one thing's for sure: Divorcee or not, Ashton's got lots o' baggage!

I think Mila's a little crazy for hooking up with Ashton, but whatever floats her boat I guess. With the way that Demi reacted to the split I'm sure she's still hanging on to the tiniest little bits of thread left holding the relationship together, but I hope for her sake she's moved on with her life. Then again, their all a bunch of celebrities that have absolutely no relevence to my life.

Headline is misleading. If they never had a civil union performed within the United States (meaning filed with the court in whatever state) they were never legally married and a divorce is unecessary, unless they live in a common law state (California is not). Keep this in mind for destination weddings - they are necessarily legal in the US, and another marriage needs to be performed for legal purposes here in the States.

Back in the day, Lee Marvin tried to "divorce" his "common law wife" Michele. The court determined that as Marvin's "common law wife", she deserved the same benefits as if she and Marvin had been legally married; Marvin had to pay alimony and since the two's legal residence was the great state of"California", then there was one-half split of Marvin's assets. To me, Ashton and Demi's situation is exactly what Marvin and Michele had.
I don't know if they were legally married or not, in as much as the star magazine is concerned, we call them a trash rag but we have to admit when they print a story while they go overboard there's always been a thread of truth to them. This being said, if they are legally married Demi has to let go, even if there were a chance of reconciliation it would only to be for Ashton to fulfill some type of agenda, trust not being his friend. let Mila have him, move on and stop trying to one up him with someone else to pull him back in he's cold and could care less. she needs to spend that time on healing which is the better deal for her, most of us have been in her shoes, and understand once we put one step forward its all gravy from there., and also give her daughters a strong talking to, let them know maybe there were changes she could have made in the relationship, as could he however it didn't, its done move on get it together she's the mother and the loyalty should lie there because none the less she raised them! They are young women and this is not the way to handle things, now if they still want to to be distant over this that's their prerogative, but let them know simply because Ashton tells them its going to be a snowstorm in California all next week doesn't make it so take a look at the women he's gone through since the separation and do the math, it takes two.
