Be honest, if you were in the acting biz and a casting director called you and offered you one of the leading roles in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie -- odds are good you'd take it in a heartbeat, right? DUH -- any actor or actress in their right mind would jump at the chance to bring Christian Grey or Anastasia Steele to the big screen, because everyone who's anyone wants these roles.
Well, almost anyone, I guess, because Keira Knightley has admitted she's not into Fifty Shades -- and she almost seemed offended by the idea of anyone associating her with Ana's role.
When asked for her thoughts on portraying Steele, Keira made herself very clear:
Absolutely not! Just from what I've heard -- f**k no.
The hardest thing to capture about love is the actual physical intimacy between two people. The way two people behave when they are next to each other and touching each other.
That's a difficult thing to capture on film.
Wow. I guess she made her point -- and it sounds like she's sticking to it.

And believe it or not, she's not the only one who is pretty turned off by the idea of playing a submissive. Julianne Moore recently described the Fifty Shades of Grey series as "awful," so I guess it's a good thing that she's too old to be considered for Ana's role.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's sis, Elizabeth Olsen, also seems to think she's above taking on the part, and said, "No! No! No!" when asked about whether or not she'd consider it.
And there's good news for Justin Bieber, because Selena Gomez doesn't want anything to do with being tied up either, as you will see in this video clip.
As for the men, so far actor Chris Pine has been pretty forward about his thoughts on playing Christian Grey. He said, "I'm not doing it, no." (C'mon, tell us how you really feel, Chris.)
Somehow I'm guessing there are quite a few other A-listers who find the idea of starring in the film less than intriguing -- though they're probably way too afraid to say it. Sometimes it's a whole lot easier to agree with the masses than be challenged for your opinion, especially in Hollywood.
Do you think the celebs who are against starring in the film are being too selective?

i like keira but im sorry you know your sooooo wrong for this role and wouldnt get it that your putting it down !!!!!
Any actor or actress who is so opposed to the roles should definitely stay away..this love story needs two people who are totally intune with each other and the story. And I do not see Ana as a "submissive" in this story. This is about two people who establish a relationship in their own terms (as most couples should) and grow together despite all of the baggage and conformity that surrounds them. Anyone who has not read the books and assumes it is all about sex, bondage and submissives has lost the whole story anyway.
I mean let's be honest, the books are not that great. they are easy to read but the lenguage is just so infantile.
These books are terrible. I like her more for not wanting to do the movie. I actually hope these movies never get made. The Twilight movies were bad, 50 Shades would be even worse.
