With Rachel in NYC and Finn in the Army, Glee fans may have to wait a while to get their Finchel fix on the new season of the show, but we don't have to wait to hear all about how the lovebirds are doing off-screen. Lea Michele recently dished about her real-life relationship with Cory Monteith to People at the show's season four premiere, and as it turns out, there's no need to fear that getting back to work means the honeymoon is over for these two! Apparently, working together is actually part of the fairy tale for Lea and Cory.
Lea swooned spilled, "I love working with Cory, I always have. He really, really inspires me, and he motivates me and I think he’s just so talented. Working with him has been one of the best experiences of this whole process. I’m so happy." Aaawwww!! How sweet is that? Geeze, she's so happy, it's contagious!
But really, if you're in a relationship like that, how could you not be over-the-moon like Lea? Sure, it's usually ill-advised to be in a relationship with a co-worker, but I get the feeling these two are so much more than that at this point. And sometimes, it just happens like that -- you fall for a colleague or you fall for someone and you later become colleagues, perhaps by collaborating with one another professionally.
And if you do have the dynamic in which you can work together and inspire one another professionally, how amazing is that? Actually, even if you don't work together -- or you happen to work in completely different industries -- motivating one another professionally can be a huge part of a happy, healthy partnership. I always turn to my fiance for advice about my career -- if only because I know he'll listen, help brainstorm ideas, support me, and even inspire me to push further.
Sounds like that's how it works for Lea and Cory, and if that's the case, no wonder she's so blissed out to be back on the job with her man.
How do you feel about being in a relationship with a co-worker? Does your partner inspire and motivate you professionally?
