Robert Pattinson Decides to Stand by Kristen Stewart & He's Already Taking Heat for It

Eye Roll 61

Robert Pattinson & Kristen StewartIf we already didn't see him as a gem-of-a-guy, now Robert Pattinson has agreed to walk the red carpet with Kristen Stewart, proving he's not only a class act, but he's incredibly compassionate and forgiving as well.

Of course, some are already seeing a hidden motive behind his decision to make nice and act like things are hunky-dory with Kristen. One source says, "It’s a purely business decision. He’s keen to make sure fans and Hollywood see he can be professional when it comes to Kristen."

And that may be true, but you have to admit, it takes some serious self control and discipline to not only walk the red carpet next to the person who broke your heart -- but also to smile for the cameras and act like everything's water under the bridge.

And regardless of why Rob has decided to let bygones be bygones and share the red carpet with Kristen, it's definitely a genius move on his part as far as maintaining his loyal fan base goes. Everyone has been so supportive of him ever since the news of Kristen's cheating broke, and he handled the scandal with such amazing class and dignity.

By being willing to walk the red carpet with her despite everything that happened, he's showing that he isn't the type to hold a grudge, and he also isn't big on publicly embarrassing someone who meant the world to him. This honorable gesture is only going to make fans fall more in love with him, because he's obviously proving that maintaining his character is a whole lot more important than stroking his bruised ego. He deserves a major pat on the back instead of criticism for this selfless move, and honestly, he should receive some heartfelt thanks from Kristen too.

Do you think Rob will hurt himself more by calling a truce with Kristen on the red carpet?

That is a great move on his part for him & her. Now if they get back together , that is for them to decide, but I do not think the relationship will be the same as it was before the betrayal, but maybe that was needed to move forward.

Of course he would put his personal feelings aside for the sake of Twitlight Red Carpet, he is a professional after all and he loves his fans :)

I am glad. I think this is well orchestrated. In the one hand Kristen won't be embarrased as she has had to endure so much! On the other hand Rob keeps his fan base happy and everyone wins. The only thing that will be lost is their personal relationship. Like someone said, this is purely business, a savvy marketing strategy. But it's good news, better than I expected from Robert Pattinson.

Either this is orchestrated or not.  EIther for business purposes, or they get together but announcement will not be made at this time.  Things has to go forward, life has to go on.  It is good that both decided to walk the red carpet together.  Down the road, when they look back, they are glad they made the right decision.  It will take time to heal, but it will make it easier as days goes by.
It is not anyone decison or comments if they should or shouldn't be back together, that's all in God hands. We can only wish.

IF the whole story is true...and I'm not entirely sure where I stand on the whole Robsten breakup...then i give the whole cast (and crew) alot of credit for not publicly pointing fingers. Everyone involved really has handled this well...Shows how much of themselves really went into the making of The Twilight Saga, and how important to them that the fans can enjoy this finale chapter. Though I am definetly Team Jacob when it comes to the books and movies, and I think that Taylor Lautner shows alot of maturity, poise and intelligence off screen as well, I have to admit, I have been very impressed with Rob Pattinson these last few months...I wish all of them, Rob, Kristen and Taylor, the best of luck in whatever direction they choose to take their careers now.

The irony is, even if this is factual, that everyone assumes that this means that they will walk TOGETHER. They've never walked a red (or in the case of The Saga, black) carpet together. Not once. They show up separately, in separate vehicles even. They walk separately. They speak with fans separately. They come together for a few photos. They interview separately. So, really, the only thing this indicates is that he's willing to do what he's always done, business as usual. Why anyone would expect less of him is beyond me. Rob's professionalism has been praised by every actor, director, producer and on down the line, with whom he's ever worked. He never once indicated that he wouldn't do his job on the carpet for the premiere. That everyone might take this for some big announcement is hysterical to me.
