'Bachelor Pad' Finale Recap: Rachel Got WAY More Than She Deserved

Bachelor Pad Anyone who has watched The Bachelor franchise has heard that a rose ceremony is going to be "the most shocking in Bachelor history" again and again. It never is. Until this one. Holy hell. That was some drama, dude.

**Spoiler alert**

First things first: Blakely and Tony got engaged! I had heard it was coming and I saw it coming, but it was still a shocker (especially to Blakely). Maybe because Blakely has been so hard and overly emotional and difficult, it's hard to imagine her as someone's stepmother.

Maybe the two of them will be super happy. Maybe Blakely isn't what she appears on TV. I hope she's not. But I doubt it. Good luck to them. Still, an engagement wasn't the real drama. The REAL drama came later.

Nick screwed Rachel. And I don't mean in the sexy, hot way. I mean he screwed her out of every dollar. She picked share after the two of them won, but Nick picked keep. He had promised her he would pick share, but he was "playing the game." He lied.

Rachel had it coming. She may be a good person, but she did all the things Nick said she did. It made for great television. But oh. My. God.

How could he do that to her?

Nothing is worth that amount of money. Sure, it was dramatic and it was great TV. And sure, Rachel was rude to Nick and whiny all the time. But oh man. That was just cold. She worked hard to make sure they both won in the end. She said she would share. So did he. She kept her word. He didn't.

Why was the studio audience so impressed then? Why did they clap like that?

In the end, it was just a game. But he played it in a mean way. He did a cruel thing to a woman who ultimately didn't deserve it. So did he win? Sure. He "won." He got the $250,000 (maybe $150K after taxes), but he isn't a winner.

A winner wouldn't do something so mean. Rachel lost both love and money. She even lost her best friend. She didn't deserve any of it.

Ya know Rachel was heartbroken that Michael left, and a heartbroken girl may not be the best partner, but she did stay, and gave it her all in the last competition, she won it for them. Then, after much pressure allowed Nick to pick the final couple who went with them, even though it was definitely what she wanted. So in the end she was a great partner, not only that she kept her word. Nick is a greedy, angry jerk. Any girl who dates him in the future deserves what she gets.... we already know what kind of person he is.... YUCK!

I loved it!! He was honest on why he did what he did and she wanted nothing to do with him. I loved the end comments when EVERYONE said how he did nothing, he didn't talk, he wasn't playing the game. Guess he showed them!

While it was very shady, I can't really blame Nick. Like he said, he played the game alone the whole time, and I would have been incredibly annoyed with Rachel when she kept talking about bowing out to go be with Mike. She almost ruined his chances of winning when he was so close. I understand why he held onto that animosity. I'm glad one of them won!

I absolutely loved the ending. Everyone treated him as an outcast and never perceived him as a threat...made fun of him...made horrible comments about him...he did do it on his own! Rachel was so wrapped up in Michael she did not bond with Nick. Michael by the way...you are a jerk...and finally congratualtions to Blakely and Tony! I hope your life will be happy and prosperous! Blakely, the ring was beautiful...I think you'll be getting your cable turned on! lol :-)

This is not a question of Rachel deserving the money or Nick being heartless. Chris H presented the contestents with a classic "prisoner's dilemma" situation, and anyone who has taken basic economics knows that the answer to this problem is to always, always choose to keep/steal the money. Consider that Nick had no way of being sure that Rachel wouldn't keep the money, even if she promised otherwise.

what a douche bag jerk. i mean omg wow. i feel sorry for the girl who ever ends up with this guy nick some day. he obviously is a cold heart less person, who doesn't care about any one but himself. i was disgusted beyond belief watching the finale. at least rachel chose share, that is class right there. but he was the greedy, back stabbing one who chose keep and screwed her over. he lied to her for weeks telling her he would chose share as well. he's a liar. i wanted to punch him in the face, when he stood on stage gloating and saying, i won the game. i won the game. stupid. stupid. and why every one in the audience was cheering for him, i do not understand. was a jerk. yea, he won the money, but he showed the world, what a heart less jerk he is.

Let me just say...Nick was fantastic. I was clapping at home with the audience. Nice job! I think you have what it takes no matter what you do in life and this just proves it. You won the game and the money. The others are just poor losers!

Rachel claimed that SHE brought Nick to the finale, but we remember that it was Nick who INSISTED that they eliminate Ed and Jacky, very much against Rachel's wishes, and THAT is what earned them the opportunity to win the money. It was NICK's persistence that got them there, in spite of how poorly Rachel played the game. After all, she only made it as far as becoming Nick's partner because she partnered with Michael, who is a great player. Otherwise, she would likely have been eliminated much earlier. Just my 2 cents.

Why is everyone saying he was so mean? He took money after she didn't treat him very well while they were partners. She spent every minute talking to Michael on the phone. He was the one who told her to stay. Why then is Michael not the bad guy? Nick may have taken the money, but Michael took her heart and then tossed it away... as part of the game. Did Nick do the "right" thing, no, but he played the game well. Michael used her heart and that is much worse!
