'Real Housewives of New York' Recap: If Only They'd Made Aviva Drescher a Banner

Stuck in Reality 23

Carole Radziwill and Aviva DrescherThe fun continued in St. Barth tonight as The Real Housewives of New York wound down their vacation and wound one another up with the same damn drama we saw last week dragged out again this week. In the beginning, things were going pretty well, with LuAnn de Lesseps' little cheating incident being the most scandalous thing happening on the trip. Then Aviva Dreshcher blew in like a hurricane and turned it into the vacation from hell.

True, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan are obnoxious and "inelegant" when they drink, as Carole Radziwill observed, but at least they're a little bit fun. Aviva on the other hand is just one big self-centered buzzkill.

She still hadn't gotten over the way the women greeted her when she arrived on the island. I wanted to believe she was joking when she told Ramona that she had expected her to put up a banner for her that read, "Welcome Aviva, you did it! Rah Rah!" But she was dead serious. That's exactly what she expected, and she wasn't about to let go of the fact that she didn't get the royal treatment. And I thought The Countess was insufferable.

Ramona and Sonja weren't even sure how upset they should have been about her calling them white trash. After Googling it they were a little confused, since they aren't poor, but they would have gotten over it if Aviva had just moved on. Ramona did apologize after all. Aviva wanted to beat the dead horse some more, however, and after Ramona stormed off, Aviva threw out a whole bunch of other ugly words for Sonja, including "double dealer," which means ... I have no idea.

If Aviva was likable at all, I might have some sympathy for her, but instead she just droned on and on about herself and her phobias, and somehow I'm firmly on team drunkos. Ramona and Sonja were terribly rude to skip the concert at the end, and they acted like fools at dinner on the last night, so they don't get a pass either. But Aviva comparing Sonja to Anna Nicole Smith was beyond rude.

At least they all had a few minutes of fun on that last night when everyone jumped into the pool in their gowns. Well, everyone except Ramona, who got pushed in, and Sonja, who, of course, stripped down first. Heather Thompson had a great line when she said, "I've seen Sonja’s vagina and nipples so much on the trip I thought I should start petting and feeding them." Thankfully, she didn't, and thankfully for her, with Aviva in the annoying spotlight, Heather managed to win over Ramona. The Countess should also be bowing a bit to that drama because otherwise we'd still be talking about her little indiscretion with the Johnny Depp lookalike. She kind of lucked out in that respect, no?

We'll see what happens when they get back to New York. After a trip like this, it will be interesting to see where they go from here and if what happened on the island stays on the island or not.

Who do you think had the rudest behavior tonight?

I think Sonja has some serious issues! Aviva just needs to get off her high horse and stop being so judgemental. She truly is a buzz kill... I love Heather and Carole they are so upfront and honest! They make me laugh... Luann is just love stirring up the pot and Romana is just Romona... what else can I say....

Never had the chance to get away for a girls week. I have had a girls night and while I have been married for 12 years I have a few friends that are single and if they want to have a fling that is their right! Last time I check Sonja is single unlike Luanne who is in a committed relationship. Yes Ramonja seemed to be white girl wasted 90% of the trip they really were harmless and entertaining I am sure without them the trip would have been boring. That said they owe Ms. Carole a apology.Avia really annoyed the crap out of me though. She did not win me over acting like she did.

OMG people get over Sonja who gives a s**t if she drinks, they seem to be having fun till Aviva showed up, and then it all went down hill, and Yes Yes Yes its was to be a girls vacation......and if it were me I also would have been upset if the boyfriends and husbands started showing up, if Carole wanted to see her boyfriend go to his hotel {as she did the last night} but trips and dinner were for the girls only, and to have a couples night out.....come on that sucked.......I think the whole thing started to stink real bad, and all I have to blame for that is Aviva.....

Aviva took it passed the limits. Enough said about herself, tho she's a much better lady then Ramona and Sonja. I believe Ramona and Sonja are drunks and Sonja has this thing about showing off her body. I guess we'll see more of sense she has had breast implants. Wonder how her daughter will feel seeing that episode. By the way just how old is her daughter.

Something's seriously wrong with that Aviva. I never saw anybody act like she did. She raved on and on about how everybody, especially Ramona, should have treated her arrival as if the Queen of England had flown in. Why was she zeroed in on Ramona? No one else made her a banner, did they, or throw a shindig for her arrival? No, nobody did anything special other than greet her, yet her anger is preserved solely for Ramona. Let me tell you about white trash. Aviva's father shows clearly that Aviva comes from white trash, with or without money. How can Aviva complain about any of the women when her father was going around poking women in the rear with his erection? She clearly cannot see herself at all. I'm just thrilled I don't know her and most likely never will. Let's see, out of that group of women, the only ones I'd want to be acquainted with, socially or in business, would be 1. Sonia, and 2. Ramona. The rest, no, thank you. I don't drink, I'm not wealthy, I'm not white trash. I just recognize decent human spirits when I see them, and can look through exterior behaviors to the real deal.

I felt so sorry for Carole, she was upfront with EVERYONE (Ramona had a bit too much Pinot on the brain) that she was going to see Russ and they were all invited to his concert. The plane thing was just ridiculous! Heather and Aviva have known Carole the longest and knew what happen to her friends in the plane (small Plane) crash, and all Aviva could do was keep poking the bear, making Carole more and more sad, it just broke my heart. I loved seeing Heather laughing , lightening up and having fun, I think Ramona and Sonja drive her crazy, thus all the fighting. The Countess didn't act very Countess-like, I just hope that nine months from now we don't see her trying to pawn the Johnny Depp look-a-like's baby off on Jacques!

Ramona and Sonja, I am so flipping tired of those two, hearing Ramona's drunken laugh is like finger nails on a chalkboard, and Sonja is just plain crazy, she thinks she's a hot woman of the world, when in fact she's a nasty, skanky slut, I feel sorry for both of their daughters!

Does anyone think Sonja and Ramona are bisexual. That's a little too much closeness.
