'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Recap: Khloe's Fertility Fears Are Confirmed

Khloe KardashianFor years now rumors have swirled about Khloe Kardashian being pregnant, not being able to get pregnant, and a whole host of other issues in between. We knew that she saw a doctor last season and things supposedly looked fine, but there still has been no pregnancy that we know of. Tonight on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, we saw her find out what really may have been (and still is?) preventing her from getting pregnant.

While she'd seen a regular OB/GYN and other doctors, she'd never seen an actual fertility specialist. Kim, who was worried about her own fertility and considering freezing her eggs, actually suggested going to Khloe and made a double appointment for them. Khloe admitted that she was scared, and that in the back of her mind, she knew something was wrong.

It appears she was right.

After telling Kim that she was all clear and could start freezing her eggs anytime she wants, the doctor gave Khloe the news -- she didn't ovulate that month. And, of course, when there's no ovulation, there's no possibility of a pregnancy. The episode ended there and is "to be continued," but Khloe was evidently upset and terrified.

I'm hoping that next week we learn more and find out that her issue is treatable -- as many ovulation problems are. But no matter what happens, I have such admiration for her for sharing this painful part of her life. So many women face similar problems, and they're often heartbreaking. Seeing her go through it has got to be comforting for many.

Seeing Kris Jenner go through her second boob job, however, did no one any good. Why the hell she chose to share that with the world, I don't know, but there she was post-operation begging her children and Scott Disick to look at her tits. The only thing weirder than that was the fact that Bruce Jenner didn't seem to be there for her surgery or afterward.

There was also the little matter of Scott considering getting a vasectomy without telling Kourtney. Fortunately Rob Kardashian ratted him out and told Kourtney -- who no longer believes in birth control -- and they hashed it out. But those two, per usual, don't even seem to be in the same library, much less on the same page of the book. I can only imagine how difficult it was for Khloe to see them discuss whether they want two kids or 600 with such nonchalance when she'd do anything to have just one child.

Khloe didn't tweet nearly as much during this episode as she usually does, and at one point she let followers know how hard this one was for her: "I'm not a big crier. So I'm not too excited about what's coming up. Might have to stop watching. Sometimes hate reliving tough emotions." That was followed only by one more that told fans how much she loved them and a retweet of a quote that read, "Faith is having the courage to let God have control."

Hopefully the appointment we saw tonight was the beginning of Khloe getting to the bottom of her issues and figuring out a way that she and Lamar can realize their baby dreams one way or another. She certainly has a lot of love being sent her way and plenty of people cheering her on.

Do you admire Khloe for sharing her fertility struggles?

I do admire Khloe for talking about her fertility issues. It's something women don't talk about and it should be talked about. It's reality and infertility doesn't care whether you are a celebrity or not. I even admire people in my daily life who talk about it. What I don't admire is people who are experiencing fertility issues being mad at their friends for getting pregnant and not talking to them. Happened to me twice with the same friend. Even though I didn't suffer from fertility issues I would still be sensitive to someone else's issues and be supportive of them, whether I was pregnant or not.

This breaks my heart. I feel so sorry for Khloe. They both yearn so much for a child. I always thought it was Khloe with the fertility issues, because lamar already has 3 kids. May God bless them with a child soon.

I kinda don't buy that at her age, and with her wealth, she has NEVER seen a fertility specialist. She knew something was wrong long ago, as does any woman with fertility issues.

I do admire Khloe for sharing her struggles. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. It is polycystic ovary syndrome. So like her I don't ovulate. So I don't have periods. It was a struggle for me & my family. But Khloe is a strong person. There are a few options to help her.

I expect that we'll see Khloe get diagnosed with PCOS although I know a couple of season ago she had basic testing done that supposedly put her in the clear.  To the poster who says it has to be her since Lamar previousl had children, not true.  There is such a thing as secondary infertility and plenty of things could have changed in his body to lead to his being the "issue".

Katy Khan, what an ignorant statment!  Khloe has made it super clear that she was petrified of seeing an RE and was going to put it off until absolutely necessary.  At her age Dr.'s would recommend a full year of trying before recommending an RE anyway and she didn't and Lamar didn't want the extra pressure and stress.  Sometimes people avoid unpleasant truths and I they seemed to want to give themselves every opportunity to attempt to get pregnant without being forced to confront the infertility rollercoaster.

Katy Khan

My statement was not at all ignorant but yours certainly was. I suffered from infertility and knew something was wrong in my teen years...not what, but I knew something was off. There's no way she didn't know, that's a fact. If she isn't ovulating she's not getting regular periods <---- HELLOOOO in there, clearly something is wrong. I assumed I had pcos before I ever went to a doctor because I read all I could about it and knew my symptoms fit that profile...I find it highly doubtful that this has caught her off guard, it's just not logical.

to David 72 , no matter how you feel about the Kardashians it's all "TELEVISION" the stories are wanted , anything that makes us read about them watch them on tv or comment on them is encouraged .
Personally I like Khloe , I think she is the most level headed out of them all and will not take her mothers interference , but , what ever the story , why do we have to be so nasty about them , nasty comments only show how small minded you are and not necessary , keep those thoughts to yourself, if you can't say anything positive or good the say NOTHING

Katy Khan, not everyone knows that "something is off", so no, it isn't a fact. Just because you had a feeling that turned out to be true does NOT mean that is everyone's experience. I've always joked that I "felt very fertile", and now I'm dealing with infertility. I don't care a bit about any of the Kardashians, but for you to trivialize any woman's fertility struggles is offensive to those of us who weren't lucky enough to just "know something was off".
