Amanda Bynes is one of those pretty young blondish actresses I can never quite place -- what was she in, again? Hannah Montana! Oh wait, that's Miley Cyrus -- and her face is so generically good-girl Hollywood I'm always surprised to see her popping up in the news. Which she has been a LOT lately, thanks to the fact that she's been kind of racking up a spectacular number of moving violations. I think her list to date includes texting while driving, a DUI, a hit-and-run, and ANOTHER hit-and-run.
I mean, she side-swiped a police car, for god's sake. Toonces is a better driver than Amanda Bynes.
While she infamously begged President Obama to fire the cop who arrested her back in June because "I don't drink (…) I also don't hit and run," I'm not sure the White House can help her now that she's been charged with two counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run.
Next stop for Ms. Bynes? Possibly up to a year in jail.
I'm guessing right about now she's probably re-thinking her decision to drive off after rear-ending someone's Toyota last month, especially since she'd been accused of another hit-and-run in April (which happened a whopping four days after her DUI arrest). On August 4, the driver whose car Bynes struck alleges that Bynes stopped only briefly, declared there was no damage, and took off -- without showing her insurance or calling the cops. Investigators later determined that the Toyota had $800 in damage, despite Bynes' claim that she and the other woman had mutually agreed that the car was totally fine.
Bynes is officially busted now, although let's be real: she probably won't spend even 24 hours behind bars, if Lindsay Lohan is any indication of how justice is served when it comes to troublemaking actresses with enough cash to hire a team of attorneys.
Still, at the very least she'll likely have a whole mess of legal fees to deal with -- and if she's convicted on both counts, well, who knows? Maybe she'll get the one judge in LA who's aching to make a celebrity actually serve some jail time.
Do you think she'll tweet Obama again? I mean, it's not like he has anything else to do right now, I'm sure he'd be totally open to firing all these dirty cops who clearly have a grudge against Amanda Bynes. Or the media, who have been inventing a bunch of LIES, according to her statement on May 27:
I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false.
Sorry, sweetie, but the LAPD Valley Traffic Division says otherwise. Here's a little tip from me to you: chauffeur.
Do you think Amanda Bynes will actually spend any time in jail if she's found guilty?
