Kelly and Dylan

Ok, so I'm trying really, really hard not to get my hopes up too high about this new rumor being the real deal, but if there's even the slightest hint of truth to the report that Jennie Garth and Luke Perry are dating, all of my high school dreams will seriously come true. (Squee!)

According to The National Enquirer, Jennie and Luke have recently started hooking up -- and (wait for it) they're in love. And yes, I realize that this "news" may be nothing more than another crazy and "nothing could be further from the truth" story cooked up by the tabloid, but how amazing would it be if these two are together for real?! C'mon -- admit it. You sat on your couch through every single episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 and rooted for Kelly and Dylan to live happily ever after too. Unless of course, you were team Brenda. (Unacceptable.)

It hasn't been that long since Jennie split from husband Peter Facinelli, and she also supposedly already has a new boyfriend -- photographer Noah Abrahams. But Luke has actually been divorced since 2003, so it's not like either of them has anything really tying them down enough to prevent them from getting together.

And even if she is casually seeing this Noah dude, Luke is obviously a way better choice. I mean, they're already close friends and have incredible chemistry, so why not take that next step and give things a shot? If nothing else, they'd absolutely delight pathetic fans like me who are on the brink of a mid-life crisis and can't resist hanging onto the magic that was Beverly Hills, 90210. (Sigh. Those were the days.)
