LeAnn Rimes brings out my dark, petty side. News broke this morning that Rimes will be entering a treatment center for "anxiety and stress." And my first thought was, Well, lookee here, husband stealer, now YOU know anxiety and stress! Yeah, not very mature. But oh well.
LeAnn's rep assures us -- assures us, dammit! -- that LeAnn is NOT being treated for substance abuse or an eating disorder. Eating disorder? Oh, you mean because LeAnn could hide behind a drinking straw? Nah, couldn't be an eating disorder! See? There I go again, being all petty and bitchy.
So why exactly is LeAnn entering a treatment facility for "anxiety"? And who even knew you could enter a treatment facility for "anxiety"? Let's hear it from LeAnn. She told People magazine:
This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them.
Hmmm ... all the things in her life won't affect her as much? I won't speculate. Who am I kidding? Of course I will. Let's see ... could this be related to her husband, Eddie Cibrian? Eddie and LeAnn began an affair with each other while both were still married -- Eddie to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville. They have two children.
Could be stressful married to a guy like Eddie, amiright? I mean, if he's gonna cheat on the mother of his children, he could cheat anytime, anywhere, with anyone, yeah? Yep, me all petty and bitchy again.
Then there's LeAnn's extended family -- she's stepmother to Eddie's kids. And Brandi has made her not-very-warm feelings for LeAnn known. Family gatherings could be a bit dicey. Oh me so petty.
So, what could it beeeeee???? I guess we'll have to wait for the mag cover story or interview with Oprah to find out!
Why do you think LeAnn is getting treated for anxiety?
