Where's Lafayette?! Where IS that bitch with a Cajun-style margarita? Because after watching the True Blood Season 5 finale, I could use a "little sippy sip," as Bon Temps' bestest bartender ever would say. I mean, I'm sorry. But what in the name of Lilith was that all about?! You'd think immortal-types would figure out how NOT to be total d-bags after a century or 10, but it's just like Pam said tonight:
"One of the worst things about being immortal is having to watch the same fucking scenario over and over and over ... All roads lead to fucking Sookie."
(Here's your spoiler alert, btw ... )
Well, yes, all roads pretty much do lead to Sookie. Except sometimes all roads lead to Tara, don't they, Pam? Saw that lip-lock comin', aww yeah (lesbian vampire hook-up victory dance, uh-huh).
Anyway, besides the Tara/Pam kiss, Russell's death (sorry, I warned you about the spoiler thing!), and Salome's death (sorry, I warned you about the spoiler thing!), I can honestly say (again, borrowing a phrase from Lafayette), I did NOT see that shit coming!
I mean, I'd pretty much written Bill off as a disappointment already ... but seriously?! I wasn't expecting him to poison Salome, overdose on sacred blood, dissolve into a gooey puddle and be reborn as a blood-soaked male Lilith. Shoot, no wonder Sookie was crying.
It's kind of like Alcide's dad said: "The worst part of bein' a parent ... no matter how hard you try, you can't keep your children from figurin' out what a shithole this world is."
Damn straight, Alcide's dad! But is the world gonna get any less shithole-ish next season?!
Do you think things will get better in Bon Temps during Season 6 of True Blood?

I think the only thing I was surprised by was Tara/Pam's smooches. lol I did call Salome's death at the beginning of the episode when Bill told her Lilith chose her. Eric killing Russell was fantastic. Loved it. My husband actually guessed as soon as Bill went down into goo that he was going to come back like Lilith but I didn't. lol I think 4 babies for Andy was a little ridiculous, they could have stopped at 2. Also, SO loving Lafayette. lol
After being so angry with this season, the finale was a pleasant surprise. I am actually happy with how they ended it and it was a great episode. Good stuff! But no, I don't think things next season will be much better. Did anyone else watch the bonus scene on hbo go? Next season will be Warlow (and batshit Bill, of course) and it sounds like the Authority knew or has something to do with Warlow too.
I can't stand Bill, I was really happy when I thought he met his end, but no, now he's all super demon god vampire. I wonder where they'll take that story line, obviously he'll want to destroy Sookie and all the fairies so we'll see how that plays out. The Pam/Tara connection was predictable. I love when that fairy Morella was having her babies on the pool table at Merlott's and she was making all those orgasmic sounds and Lafayette was like "She makes me want to do it too" Lol. Jason seems like he's really gone off the deep end after being struck by that fairy lightening bolt. Seeing his dead parents and listening to every word they say and now he just seems like he's just really jaded about everything. I guess that's understandable after everything vampires have put his family through. I thought it was sad though when Jessica rushed up to him and confessed how much she loved him and his only response was "I could never love a vampire". She looked crushed. Alcide beating the life out of the evil wolf pack leader was one of the best moments of the show for me. I love when he took over as pack master and everyone went on their knees to show their submission to him. He is soooo hot. I will definitely be tuning in next season.
