Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Lands Movie Role Fit for the Princess She Is (VIDEO)

by Julie Ryan Evans on August 22, 2012 at 9:40 PM

Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Jolie-PittFrom where we sit, life seems to be a fairy tale for the children of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, so it seems only fitting that little Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 4, is actually going to be starring in one on the big screen. In news sure to make the preschool set green with envy (or that would if they read celebrity gossip), Viv is going to be playing the child version of Aurora in the upcoming 3-D reworking of Sleeping Beauty titled Maleficent.

Angie is going to be in the film too, playing the evil Maleficent, and Elle Fanning is playing the grown up version of Aurora. According to People, Vivienne's part is said to be "very minor," but what a dream for any little girl.

While I'm sure there are some that will roll their eyes at the nepotism or say that Brangelina is pushing her into the biz too early, I think it's great. Nepotism is nothing new nor anything any parent wouldn't use to get their kids a great opportunity if they could, and this seems perfect because she gets to do it with her mom. I can't wait to see her on screen.

Of course, such a move doesn't come without risk. The biggest: We may soon be inundated with little Jolie-Pitts in every film we see! A source told The Sun:

Ange thought it would be a fun experience for her and Viv to share, and Viv is a natural. The other kids are now nagging Ange and Brad to land them roles.

And there a lot of them -- Hollywood, watch out! Shiloh already made her debut back in 2008 in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with dad Brad, but there are plenty more where she and Viv came from. Maybe Brad and Angie should start working on script to include the whole family.

What do you think of Vivienne Jolie-Pitt landing the role of Aurora in Maleficent? Does it make you want to see the movie more or less?

I don't see anything wrong with it. They're just cameos and they get to spend the day with mom or dad.

Love how these things are described - "starring"?  We don't even know if she has a speaking part.  Why not - I think it will fun to see her in the film.  She does resemble the Fanning actress a little.

i don't see anything wrong with it either...the whole family is a "showbiz" family. it shouldn't be a surprise that the kids are starting young.

I think it is great that Vivienne is gone to be in the movie with her Mom. They will have more time together abd it is only a cameo. I say put all of them in Angeline or brad pitt;s movies.

I like how Elle is referred to as a grown up Vivienne, when it should be a grown up Aurora. Glad that Vivienne is getting the opportunity though, but honestly the main character should never be referred to as the name of the actor/actress playing a minor version of them, just saying.
