Maybe we're all tired of hearing about Kristen Stewart's indiscretions and we just want to latch onto a new subject in celebrity-land. Maybe we need a break from reading about Syrian air raids, politics and swing states, and mass shootings. Maybe we have a lingering, nostalgic fondness for Howard Jones. For whatever reason, we as a nation have been OBSESSED with Miley Cyrus's new platinum pixie cut -- and who better to poke a little friendly fun at the pop culture bandwagon than Ellen DeGeneres?
Yesterday DeGeneres tweeted a fantastic picture of herself rocking Miley's new 'do, saying "I love @MileyCyrus' new haircut so much that I copied it." It's a Photoshop job, natch, but I have to say, it looks amazing on her! (Maybe because it's not actually all that far from Ellen's regular haircut.)
In fact, it got me thinking -- how might Miley's hair look on some other famous faces? LET US IMAGINE THE (mostly disturbing) RESULTS:
You know what a girl needs after a super-shitty, traumatic breakup? A new hairstyle, that's what. And maybe an IV line of Haagen-Dazs.
The thing is, I can't imagine how K-Stew would get through life without being able to push her hair out of her face, emo-style. So maybe Robert Pattinson could try it out instead. I think he looks great as a blond! (A blond with what appears to be a dead guinea pig stapled to his head, but still.)
Oh, those long gorgeous Aniston tresses -- what woman doesn't envy her hair? Which is why I find it deeply satisfying to imagine her replacing The Rachel with The Miley.
Once Snooki pops out that kid, she's going to find that her hair-primping time is going to take a serious hit. Edgy/short = sassy-but-practical Mom Hair! Just ask Kate Gosselin.
Without her mink-like pelt of shiny dark hair, would Kim Kardashian still be a Perfect Bitch? Hmmmm. Also, whatever on Miley's quirky unique style, this 'do is totally the Blond Kris Jenner.
Hey girl. Short hair on women is often considered an exotic transgression from the norm, since hair length and quality can act as a cue to a woman's youth and health, which signifies reproductive potential. Let's take a stand against natural selection together.
What celebrity would you like to see wearing The Miley?
