robert pattinson gmaWell, it's official: Robert Pattinson is a class act, and his appearance on Good Morning America this morning was proof. Just like when he appeared on The Daily Show, Pattinson made the admirable choice to take the post-breakup high road: Not a hint of Kristen Stewart bashing! Of course, that's not to say the actor completely avoided the "elephant in the room," as GMA host George Stephanopoulos tactfully referred to The Scandal. In fact, the conversation got pretty deep! The usually reserved RPattz definitely opened up!

But first, he had to joke around a bit with Stephanopoulos, who greeted the star with a box of ... Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (?). ("Jon Stewart brought you ice cream," said Stephanpoulos by way of explanation -- apparently Cinnamon Toast Crunch is Pattinson's favorite breakfast cereal.)

So of course RPattz was armed and ready when the host asked the inevitable question: "How are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what's going on in your personal life?"

"I ... I'd like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Cruch only has 30 calories per bottle, for instance, and, uh, pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant," he stammered, laughing.

(Has any other human being ever managed to be so awkward AND so incredibly charming at the same time?)

But what came out of his mouth when the interview turned to his new movie Cosmopolis was undeniably RELEVANT. Because as it turns out, Pattinson isn't all that different from the character he plays, "master of the universe" Eric Packer. Like Packer, Pattinson revealed, he's always had difficulty "trying to exist in a contemporary way ... I've always felt like I was living in the future ... not being able to really feel."

"It's funny, there are a lot of similarities to an actor's life."

Interesting, right? I mean, if we wanted to analyze those words (and we do, naturally), we could say that perhaps RPattz has trouble staying emotionally connected in relationships. We could say he suffers from existential angst. We could say ... he likes Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

I don't know, we could say a lot of things, but we'd just be speculating. One thing we can say with complete certainty? Robert Pattinson looked AMAZING this morning. (Those eyes!!!)
