50 Cent on 'Glee' Makes Us 'Squee!'

by Julie Ryan Evans on August 12, 2012 at 3:15 PM

50 Hold onto your grillz Gleeks, you'll never guess who is gunning for a role on Glee. It's Curtis James Jackson III, otherwise known as rapper 50 Cent. Yes, the rap legend who has been shot nine times wants a shot at a spot on the hit show.

How insanely cool would that be? I'd never considered him for spot on the show, but now that he mentions it, I think the combination could be killer. He agrees.

At the screening of his film, Freelancers, when E! Online asked him what he thought about appearing on Glee, he said:

I probably would. Depending on what the episode was or what they had planned for it. I'm excited...I just want to work.

As for what kind of a role he envisions, he isn't sure.

I want to play something different. Anything other than a rapper, because I don't feel like I'm working if I'm playing that. That's the easy part.

A duet with Artie? A sing off with Finn? Oh the possibilities are endless -- this is Glee we're talking about. The show has featured some amazing guests, and they've done rap music, but to my knowledge they've never had a rapper as a guest. It's about time, and 50 Cent would be a good choice with numerous acting gigs under his belt. Hopefully, we're going to see it happen and soon.

One song he won't be singing when and if he appears is Kanye West's new tune, "Perfect Bitch." Seems he has a problem with it and with Kim Kardashian in general. In an interview with XXL magazine, when he was asked about Kanye dating KK he said, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Ouch.

Would you like to see 50 Cent appear on Glee? Who else would be your dream guests on the show?

What a disappointing choice for a guest on the show. I truly do not see rap as enjoyable music.

I love all music, but I can't stand that guy....Pretty sure Ryan Murphy would be happy to pass on that homophobic, sorry excuse for a rapper...IMO, of course

As a wife of a United States Marine seeing this garbage on this show is a disgrace. What a pathetic excuse for an American.
