Hope springs eternal for our favorite philanderer, Rupert Sanders! The one-time Kristen Stewart trifle du jour (or so we've been told) was spotted yesterday meeting his wife, Liberty Ross, for the first time since the scandal broke. Is reconciliation in the air? The Daily News reports that there are not one but TWO marriage counselors in the building where the estranged couple met.
Not so fast -- Liberty is still not wearing her wedding ring (though Rupert sure is). And she was later seen smiling with a handsome new man -- Mr. Rebound, perhaps? Still, at least they're willing to talk with each other. That's a far cry from estranged couple number two, KStew and RPattz. What a difference a few years and two children can make.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are still not in contact with each other. After days of secluded wound-licking, Robert's pals dragged him out for some country-western fun at an Ojai bar. Kristen, meanwhile, has reportedly yet to take a shower, so depressed is she that RPattz refuses to reconcile. I guess you can just do that if you're young, not married, and don't have any kids. I'm sure they have some assets and a dog to divvy up, but it really can be OVER just like that.
It's not so simple for Liberty and Rupert, though. The married-with-kids set do things differently than the young-and-in-love set. Whether they decide to stick together or split, they will still have to stay in touch -- for the next several years -- to talk about the kids. Liberty doesn't get to just check into Reese Witherspoon's sob-nest and sulk like some vampires do. She has to be a grown-ass woman and confront her husband about all their issues.
I hope Liberty and Rupert can work things out eventually. I think this whole Kristen Stewart debacle completely blew Ru's mind and he'll never want to peek at another woman ever again in his life. But that's up to Rupert and Liberty. I think the important thing is that it seems they're willing to roll up their sleeves and do the difficult work on their relationship that needs to be done -- even if that work is about bringing their marriage to an end.

How about.. you just leave them ALL alone? On a side note.. why are you COMPARING the two relationships at all? It's OBVIOUS that they're different.. one has kids one doesn't.. blah blah.. WHO CARES? Let's move on people and leave these people to do what they decide is best for themselves and families!!
Seriously thats what your going with she's more corageous really??? Here's the issue with that Rupert and Liberty are married with children, Robert and Kristen are not! Working on your marriage for your kids is one thing. They have something that bonds them together for life because of their kids again Robert and Kristen do not! She is not stronger nor more corageous than he is, he doesn't have any reason to reach out to Kristen, she is not his wife or the mother of his children she is an ex-girlfriend and in most cases ex girlfriends and boyfriends usually don't stay friends after they break up so lets get real here okay, don't attack him for not talking to his ex, what are you in fifth grade and she is your bestie so you need to protect her from the big bad vampire get over it! Not for nothing if he really was planning on proposing to her and than she did that to him yeah he has every reason to do what he is doing, she betrayed his trust and made a public apology to get press for herself and publically humiliated him! She deserves how he is treating her so back off the man!
OMG why oh why do you need to fan the flames of an already incendiary publishing situation. That is not moral. The wife COULD walk away and never talk... it is called LAWYERS and mediaries. Rupert and Kristen were stupid and got caught. I feel for Ross's and Rob's pain. Kristen should be thinking of the implications to much of her life, her career, her friends. This momentary lapse of judgement was pretty monumental in the consequences. DOPES!
I am tired of it too, as they stay the first one that has not ever made a mistake in their lives cast the first stone, Rob is acting like a school kid, get with the program, kiss and make up, she deserves another chance. at least meet and talk. grow up, stay out of the bars, stop drinking doesn't solve broken hearts or make good decisions, don't listen to your friends, talk with Kristen and listen to your heart, i truly think she is young 4 years younger than you, and if she is worth is you will take the chance again slow but steady, don't give up on your love and don't settle for anything you don't want in a relationship other than that lets get on with life blame the old guy Rob, give him a good punch and hug your Kristen.
i think they should talk later down the line though. she did make her choice and now she has to live with it, but for his sake he needs to. if he doesn't he'll just end up wondering why, thinking about everything he wanted to say but didn't. when HE'S ready, he needs to think about everything he wants to say or ask, sit her down and make her listen. he deserves to get his feelings out.
she may stay with him but would be for children or money, I would never stay with a man who cheated on me, he put you last in his life at that moment and once that happens there is no returning from it. Robert P. has the right idea, telling Kristen to get bent and moving on. Good for him, now let this crap be over with . there are way more important things happening in the world.
