The need for women of color to have "good hair" is something that is deeply rooted in hundreds of years of racism. It is not something white people will ever be able to fully grasp. Therefore, unless you are a woman of color I think no one's opinion has merit. White women also have no right to tell women of color who have a problem with Gabby's hair that they shouldnt, these feelings are valid and real, and its going to be a whole lot longer until stuff like this doesnt happen. In order for us to have total equality, its important to recognize people's color, culture, and background and to accept these things. Trying to erase history and tell someone their feelings arent valid is not the answer.
Just remember..... While all the the "haters" including the media, were out paying money for Gold coloring and highlights in their hair, Gabby was WINNING Gold!!!!! Grow up and stop trying to steal her joy. You Go Gabby!!!!!!
