Great news, those of you who couldn't get enough of the, ah, cinematic chemistry between Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director: thanks to the film's $382 million gross on a $170 million-plus budget, Snow White is reportedly greenlit for a sequel -- and according to The Hollywood Reporter, director Rupert Sanders is still on board to extend the franchise.
Man, Stewart and Sanders, together again, making more sweet action-adventure fairy tale love ... won't that be awesome? Although something tells me Sanders' wife won't be quite so eager to play Stewart's mom in this version.
Of course the Sanders/Stewart sequel is never going to actually happen, because I guarantee Universal is going to dump his scandalous ass the instant it's at least marginally appropriate to do so.
The studio reportedly began discussing the possibility of a second Snow White movie with Sanders back in June, and Sanders brought in blockbuster screenwriter David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, Spider-Man) to pen the sequel. Then came the scandal that rocked the tabloids, which certainly seemed to jeopardize the possibility of another Sanders/Stewart dream team production.
At this point, Universal hasn't announced any changes to the sequel, but it's worth noting that while Stewart's contract "includes sequel language," Sanders' does not. It'll be pretty easy for the studio to keep quiet about things for a while, then casually announce a new director -- either with no explanation, or under the catch-all excuse of Sanders' "scheduling conflicts."
Or maybe it will be Sanders' decision to bow out. God knows working with Stewart again would be a nightmare for his marriage, and the never-ending scrutiny would make it impossible to have a normal working relationship with her. Plus, can you imagine the eventual promotional tour? The questions, the photos, the GIF files?

On the plus side, with mostly lackluster reviews ("[Director] Sanders squanders the opportunity to deliver a definitive Snow White for the 21st century in contemporary cinematic terms," "It doesn't help that Snow White is Kristen Stewart, an actress who seems to have just the one expression at her command and it is one of pained peevishness. Even when she's smiling, she's peeved") for the first film, maybe a fresh creative eye for Snow White 2 will be a good thing. At the very least, it's good for those of us who are kind of hoping Kristen's Big Cheating Scandal fades from the public eye sooner rather than later.

I would have to see more of the footage to decide. It's so short, it looks like she could be saying anything here. Hope all this dies down soon. I'm hoping for Rob to forgive her and they can move on. (wishful thinking).

I am a fan of Twilight, always thought she was just okay...BUT I totally think this sleezy producer played her to get publicity...It just so happens the Snowwhite DVD is coming out on DVD soon??? I think he totally set all of this up...With that said she's a jerk for cheating, just move on instead! VERY disrespectful never understood cheating. Its not a mistake when you purposely do something. Every second she was cheating she could have stopped if she wanted to. Alot like her Bella character I think "Oh Edward I LOVE LOVE you, but I want Jacob on the side..."

I am a fan of Twilight also, and this is putting a bad edge to the next movie coming out. And i also think that maybe this was a setup or maybe some publicity to get more rating on his movie. Its seems to be more dirty stuff to me to make everyone to go out and get the magazines and listen to it on the radio and online for ratings.I like both of them and i hope they can get past this mess and move on to something good for themselves. They are still young and i think they can make it work.
I believe this whole thing is a set up as well. There are rumors of Kristen being pregnant and not knowing who the father is and that RPatt slept with his co-star Kris and she's preg as well and HE doesn't know if it's his.
There is just too much floating around. I believe the media has exploited it all to a point where no one knows what the truth is at all. There are too many rumors and not enough facts. There is ton of evidence that pictures are being photoshopped and then put into circulation.
Reading Kristen's lips, she's saying "because" and her facial expressions show that she is pissed off. So, who knows what the circumstances are.
I'm a fan of hers as well as RPatt's and will stay that way. Not to mention a total twi-geek!
