So last night I was telling my husband about the Kristen Stewart/Rupert Sanders Drama (because this is my version of talking about my work day, all right? Look, we can't all be heroic Newsroom journalists) and after he totally did me the favor of pretending to be interested, he said, "You know, I'd bet big money this whole thing is a giant PR stunt."
As it turns out, my spouse is hardly the only person convinced that Stewart's very public apology for her affair with Sanders is a classic case of wag the dog. Check out the various theories on why the Twilight cheating scandal may be just as fictional as sparkly vampires:

A cynic would point out that Stewart has tremendous financial incentive to make this scandal go away as soon as possible. The last installment in the Twilight saga is scheduled to come out in November, and as Meg Ryan knows, a movie with an adulterous actress has a good chance of bombing. Perhaps in acknowledging and apologizing for the affair now, Stewart's hoping that her teenybopper audience will have the opportunity to mourn, rage, and then forget about the whole thing by the fall. -- The Atlantic

By the looks of it, the cheating scandal just came in time months before the final film is set to hit theaters. While others, especially dedicated "Robsten" fans, have been calling it foul, others seem to agree that the scandal just came in time and is simply a publicity stunt. -- International Business Times
Hooboy. Well, personally, I don't think it's a publicity stunt. If I had to guess, I'd say that her lightning-fast, desperate-sounding apology was a Hail Mary to save her relationship with Pattinson. For a starlet who's been so close-mouthed about her romantic life to burst out with the public statement of "I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry" seems authentic and unpolished -- like those are her words, not a publicist's. But who knows! Maybe that's exactly what she wants me to think.

i personally think that it is their business and not the publics. People make mistakes it doesn't make her a bad person.

If you screw up in a relation ship making a public statement is terrible its a slap in the face to the other person.
If she really wanted his forgiveness talking to him in person is a better way to start.
It did what it needed to though it promoted the movies well and made it all seem way more romantic. I still never say them or read any of it though lol. I do get the reason why though.

I do believe their relationship is real, why else would there be pics of them trying to "hide" from the press evey time they turn around? Like they plan when and where every camera is going to be so thery can 'fake" being together? Please people, they have to much else going on to go to such an extreme just to try to make a buck, as if they would REALLY need to do that! Not only did those two have BD 2 to finish they each had other films they were working on, he alone had 2/3 other movies comming out this year,and she had at least one more that came out (hense the cheating kiss photo). Some people are just so jealous that they're together because they either want him or want her for themselves.

I dont really think their relationship was a PR stunt but I do think that Rob cared more for her than she did him thats probably one of the things that really annoy me about this Kristen had an amazing guy basically worshipping the ground she walked on and she basically threw it back in his face as fan of theirs I do want them back together but for Rob he deserves so much better I swear I think this is worse than when Britney and Justin broke up
I'm with you on this one! I don't think it was a PR stunt. I think that since she is young, Yes she messed up. All of us do!And since they have been keeping their relationship quite for so long and for her to tell him that she loved him ment that she really wants to say that she's sorry. I don't think either one of them are gay, thats for damn sure!!! I wouldn't care if they were tho, I love them both and I don't think that anyones sexualty should change your mind about someone or a movie or show that your really like. Breaking Dawn Part 2 will be wonderful and have lots of ticket sales wither they are together or not due to everyone already seeing the other movies and will want to see the end of the story on film, we don't watch the Movies for the Actors and Actresses personal lifes..... We watch them so we can pretend that we are in some fantasy world or different life completly different than our own! I think the news need to leave their personal lives alone!
