If Robert Pattinson's latest comment about Fifty Shades of Grey doesn't convince fans that he's all wrong to star as Christian in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie -- then absolutely nothing will. And when I say he's "all wrong" for the role, I really mean that he's actually too kinky to play the part.

He's at Comic-Con this week promoting Breaking Dawn Part 2 with Kristen Stewart & the rest of the crew, and when asked about his thoughts on reading the popular novel, he said, "I would just sit there and lick the pages."

Um -- excuse me? He'd "lick the pages"? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Like -- he'd literally risk getting ink all over his tongue?

I'm sure plenty of fans will argue that he was just using his off-beat sense of humor to escape what could potentially be a very awkward moment. But it's hard to ignore the fact that Rob can be a pretty bizarre guy sometimes, so it's entirely possible that he was being 100 percent serious with this comment.

And if that's the case, then it only proves that casting Robert as Christian Grey is just as bad an idea as author E L James thinks it is. Because instead of coming off as suave, controlling, and powerful, Rob would probably make Christian seem creepy, weird, and slightly off his rocker. (And nobody wants to be dominated by someone like that.)

Kristen Stewart didn't even flinch at her boyfriend's kinky words, so she must be used to all sorts of bizarre things coming out of his mouth. It kind of makes you wonder if their off-screen relationship is even steamier than what Christian & Ana have got going on between the pages of the book Rob so desperately wants to lick.
