Let's journey back, years and years ago, and remember a time where Katie Holmes was more than just the arm-candy of Tom Cruise and the personal assistant of Suri Cruise. Believe it or not, Katie Holmes was pretty famous on her own -- girlfriend practically took over the '90s on a little show called Dawson's Creek. Hello? Joey Potter? The too-tall girl from the wrong side of a creek? Now you're starting to remember.
And now that Katie is officially divorced, what better way to celebrate her newfound freedom than to reunite with her old buddies from the cast? Michelle Williams is clearly on board:
I would very happily do a reunion show. I think independently we’ve all kind of been saying that. I hope at some point it does happen.
At some point? The time is now! Katie is free! Let's get the Capeside crew all together again!
(Cue Paula Cole's "I Don't Want to Wait") Doo, doo, doo, doo ...
Not only would this reunion put Katie back on the map as an actress (her last movie, Jack and Jill, wasn't exactly a box office smash) -- but it would be a great way to show Tom that she's no longer under his control. Especially since Tom allegedly didn't allow Katie to reunite with Dawson & the gang.
[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie. Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad.
Or maybe Tom didn't like the idea of Katie reuniting with her former flame, Joshua Jackson? Who knows, really. All that matters now is that the clock is ticking -- Dawson, Joey, Pacey & Jen aren't getting any younger. Let's get this reunion show on the road before they have to reunite at Capeside's senior citizens home.
I want to know right now, what will it be?
Would you like to see Katie go back to being Joey Potter?
