The sun may setting on season eight of The Bachelorette, but Emily Maynard is singing, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." She wants more! A source is saying Emily is hoping Bachelorette launches a bigger showbiz career for her. "She's using The Bachelorette as a stepping stone to be a reporter or host. Emily wants to be famous."
Well GOOD! We wouldn't want all that alleged plastic surgery and expert dental work to go to waste, now would we? That was a substantial investment she made in her future. I don't believe for a second she would have all that work done just to land a made-for-TV husband. Oh no. I suspect she may even have Chris Harrison's job in her sights!
Think about it -- is there any reason why The Bachelorette has to be hosted by Chris? Okay, yeah. 1. His contract and 2. His lawyer. But still, I think it would be kind of fun for that show to be hosted by a woman. It just makes sense. And Emily would be great because she's been on the inside.
(Notice how I'm ignoring that "reporter" idea. Yeah right! Dream on, Emily.)
Just one little thing: She has to do something about her voice. That Kewpie-doll, Smurfette, bimbo voice she has? Ugh. It's not the strong, authoritative hosty-type voice she would need to carry The Bachelorette or any other show besides maybe My Little Pony Hour. So Emily needs to make one more career investment and hire herself a voice coach.
And then! Emily Maynard will be well poised for Total Television World Domination. You. Go. Girl.
Do you think Emily Maynard would make a good television show host?

haha that last part is too funny! Wow, I didn't think of her trying to get a career out of it, but that certainly does make sense!
Yes I do think that she would be good! One should always follow their dreams and do what they choose in life!!
Even though I'm sure this is BS, I actually do think she'd be a good host for the Bachelorette. She's compassionate and has been on both sides of it, so she could offer advice.
And Chris Harrison annoys me to no end. It'd be nice to have someone new hosting, at least the Bachelorette.
