'50 Shades of Grey' Author Totally Disses Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Well, well, well -- author E L James has decided to voice her opinion on who should play Anastasia Steele & Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and shockingly enough, she thinks casting Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson is a bad idea.

When asked about the possibility of Rob & Kristen taking on the scandalous leading roles, she said:

"I think it would be too strange. It would just be ... Uggh weird!"

Weird, huh? So does she mean that seeing them on-screen together in roles other than Bella & Edward would somehow take away from their iconic Twilight personas -- or is E L James starting to get a little bit embarrassed by the fact that she based Christian & Ana's characters on Edward Cullen & Isabella Swan? (Or maybe it would be too "weird" for her to see her fantasies about Rob & Kristen actually play out in movie form. You know, because of how hot & bothered those two apparently make her.)

Another possible reason for her making comments about Kristen and Robert not being the right fit for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie is because she's sick and tired of her book being compared to Twilight and wants to separate herself and her work from that series. It's almost like she's trying to take full ownership of Christian & Ana, even though it's a well-known fact that she based their physical features and personalities on Pattinson & Stewart's portrayal of Edward & Bella.

Even though Fifty Shades of Grey has an absolutely enormous fan base (which truly makes my head spin), there are still plenty of people who agree that the book is very poorly written and is obviously nothing more than an erotic adaptation of Twilight. Based on that notion, it's understandable that E L James is suddenly doing everything possible to distance herself from the vampire realm and set herself apart as a serious author (or something to that effect).

But if Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart do manage to snag the roles of Christian & Ana, E L James better be ready for even more criticism surrounding her inspiration for the "storyline." It'll be pretty hard to deny the similarities after seeing those two roll around in the buff on-screen.

I REALLY do NOT see the similarities between the two books. AT ALL!First, Bella and Edward were teens. 2nd, they didn't have sex til the 3rd book, and it was NOT a sub/dom sexual encounter. 3rd one is about vampires, one is about a man with serious sexual issues and an insecure girl who lets him hit her cause it rocks his socks off. As for casting, Patterson and Stewart are pretty bad actors, actually more Stewart, but bad doesn't begin to explain her as an actress, so WHY on earth would they cast them? Stewart is not very good with being affectionate, or even passionate, she is so "one level" all the time, she would destroy the character. And for those of you who read 50 Shades, knows that christian is compared to a Greek god! Patterson doesn't come close to a god! He looks 12 and he weighs about 105 lbs. He is NOT CHRISTIAN GRAY!

Henry Cavil is a good idea for Christian Grey. Perfect fit. He has that blue/grey eyes also. So perfect for that role. Either Anne H., or Dakota F., or Emma S for Ana Steele.

You should think before putting a title that James dissed the Twilight stars. In NO way whatsoever did she diss them. She simply expressed her opinion that it may be weird. I agree with James. I am a HUGE twilight fan (and 50 Shades) and think that we should cast different actors. Nothing against Stewart and Robert but we need different faces and personality. In my opinion, I think Paul Walker or Eric from True Blood should play Christian Grey and EMMA STONE should play Anastasia. I believe that would be an awesome pair for the movie so many people are waiting to watch :)

Absolutely not! Rob and Kristen are not at all what I pictured. Kristen can NOT act! Period. I do see the similarities between twilight and 50 in that he is always saving her...etc. but that's it! There are more things that keep them different than there are similarities.

Im tired of people saying Kristen cannot act.Of course she can,she plays whatever roles she's given as well as she can.Bella was an awkward teen and she pulled it off.....well its even better for them not to do the role cos its based on twilight,better for them to move on to other roles.....im really happy that theyre not cast.if they were people might not take them seriously again and i know theyre both going to go far in their careers.All the best to them

Why are people making it look as if Rob and Kristen are begging to be cast in the role.Personally, i dont think they would have done it even if she wasnted them to.They both want to move on to other things instead of doing a movie that was based on twilight and is just a mere fiction....Its not in any way disadvantageous to them,im really happy that theyre no doing it.i dont want Rob and Kristen to involve themselves with this Fifty shades of grey at all

I haven't read these books, I'm going to because I want to see all of the hype. As of right now, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that it was based on Twilight as a fanfiction. Already that raises red flags in my mind, good on her for getting them published and changing them or whatever but I don't think rising stars should star in this movie. Perhaps some unknowns or people who aren't very known yet, other than the large fanbase, these might not do well because of the supposed similarities. I also think Kristen can act, most people base her acting on Bella, that's not the only character she played so that's not fair at all.

I think they would be perfect for the part but if they cast someone else Im still going to see it. But to say they would ruin the film bc they are known for twilight is stupid. Robert Pattinson played in water for elephants and played that part perfect. They are actors and cant be held down bc of the popularity of one of their films.

No they re not what i picture as the characters of book. Whether or not it is a poor written book, it has kept my attention. Yes very erotic but the storyline is good. My pick for Christian is Jackson Hurst, check him out.

Thank you-HILDA-That is truely how I feel :) Erotic Romance makes the book good ,but looking beyond the Christian and Ana erotic romance it is a GREAT story told.
