Jessica Simpson 'Stole' Kourtney Kardashian's Baby Name
As the world awaits news that Kourtney Kardashian has finally given birth, the big question on everyone's minds is what name she'll give the new little princess. According to reports she and baby daddy Scott Disick had decided on the perfect name ... before Jessica Simpson had to go and take it.
The National Enquirer is supposedly reporting that Scott and Kourt were in love with the name Maxwell. Then Jess went and snagged it, and now, they don't want to look like copycats, so they're grudgingly back at the drawing board. It is coming from the National Enquirer, so who really knows, but it does make sense that they'd like Maxwell.
While we've been wondering if Kourt would continue the female "K" name streak, an "M" name to go with Mason isn't unexpected either. Maxwell and Mason would have been adorable, but now it's apparently off the table.
The tabloid reports (via the Belfast Telegraph):
[She and Scott] thought they'd finally picked a winner with Maxwell, the entire Kardashian clan loved the choice, but Jessica Simpson 'stole' the name for her just birthed bambina and everyone went crazy! Now she's warned Scott that if they don't agree on a name by the time she goes into labor, she'll pick it herself!
Ack, someone stealing your baby name is the worst! Even if you're not married, pregnant, or even close to becoming pregnant, when someone "takes" your name, it stings. So I can only imagine how hard it is having it snatched so late in the game by someone so famous and how p.o.'d they were when Jess announced her daughter's name.
Sure they could use Maxwell anyway, but how anticlimactic would it be. You know everyone would question if Jess inspired their choice, and the comparisons would never end.
As for what they should name her now, there are plenty of great names that begin with M. I'm thinking Mabel, Marlo, or Maggie would darling.
What do you think Kourtney Kardashian should name her daughter? Do you think they should go with Maxwell if they like it even if Jessica Simpson used it first?

I have a hard time believing TWO people thought Maxwell would seem fitting for a girl. This story has to be bogus.

i was a little bothered by JS naming her daughter that.... considering that's my name. so now because of a celebrity naming her kid that, the public will. oh well. i guess it was a matter of time before my name would be up there. lol :)

While I believe that Maxwell is an adorable name for a girl, I'm pregnant and when I was thinking of names for both genders, something like that would never have occoured to me. And saying some one "stole" a name that no one else (especially the person whole "stole" it) even knew about is a little arrogant. This story is most likely bogus. I think KK will pick something super feminine.
