Justin Bieber may be playing in the big leagues of pop music these days, but it doesn't mean he's not still an immature 18-year-old boy in many ways. Most recent example: He hung up on the radio show "Mojo in the Morning" after Mojo asked if Biebs was worried One Direction's Harry Styles -- known for dating older women -- might end up seducing his mom.
At first it sounds like maybe it was an ignorant, borderline-inappropriate joke (especially knowing how radio DJs usually act obnoxious to keep people tuned in). But really, it was just a silly nod to something Selena Gomez recently mentioned Biebs himself joked about! And yet, Justin responded to Mojo with "I don't think you should worry about me [and my mom with Harry Styles] -- worry about your mom, bro." And then he dropped the call. Whaaa?!
Granted, yeah, he is just a teenage boy, which we forget sometimes, being that he has been groomed oh-so-well by publicists to answer questions in a certain, usually very professional way. And his response was very much in line with what any 18-year-old boy might say when confronted with a "your mama" joke. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his publicist actually was the one who disconnected the call to save face!
Either way, he still came off as a total punk. Especially because he also threw a hissy fit earlier in the interview after Mojo mentioned that he initially thought "Boyfriend" was Justin Timberlake's new single. (Wah -- yes, Justy, your latest single and video does sound and look like an overproduced blatant ripoff of a track from 10 years ago. Get over it.) Thus, the interview overall is a perfect example of just how much fame has gone to the kid's head. As one of the other guys on Mojo's show mentioned, The Biebs has started taking himself soooo seriously. It's like the kid's been implanted with some kind of cocky brat chip. Is that supposed to be attractive? Help him "cross over" to an adult audience? Or now that he thinks he has crossed over, he thinks he's bigger than JT, MJ, and every major boy band combined? Feh! He may be seasoned at making pre-teens scream, but the kid's gotta lighten up.
You can hear the radio interview in its entirety here (for the time being) ...
Do you agree Biebs might need to get over himself?

hes a little punk bitch thats why he hung up the phone.
He really needs to lighten up! I mean really! I never liked him and never will. I also Thought it was JT when I first heard that stupid song Boyfriend too.
Do you really have nothing better to write about?
I am no Justin Bieber fan, but the interviewer crossed the line. I would have hung up too. But I probably would have told him what a freakin' Jackass he was being before hanging up. Good for Justin. No matter how big he is in his musical career... he is still a kid.
I actually like Justin Bieber, don't care about the haters...
