'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard's Rumored 'Final Pick' Will Absolutely Shock Fans

by Mary Fischer on June 27, 2012 at 11:24 AM

Emily Maynard

Now that we're approaching the hometown dates, fans of The Bachelorette are getting more and more curious about who Emily Maynard will pick in the end to live happily ever after with. Three of her final four guys, (Arie, Sean & Jef) are amazing, and she really can't go wrong by getting engaged to any of them. (And I won't even mention the fourth dude, Chris, because he's a total nut.)

But even though reports have come out that Emily does wind up with a ring on her finger at the end of her journey, there's now a rumor going around that she's actually in love with someone other than one of her remaining four guys -- and I can't help but be totally over-the-moon excited about the possibility of it being true.

Get this one -- Star Magazine has a report coming out in its new issue that Emily Maynard is dating Bachelorette host Chris Harrison.

OMG!!! If this story is true, can you say holy Bachelorette ratings GOLD? If she somehow does wind up with Chris at the end of this whole thing, especially if she gets engaged to someone else first, people will be more glued to their TV sets than ever. (Can you even imagine the drama on the "After the Final Rose" show?)

Ok, let me settle down for a second, because this is just a rumor at this point, and considering it was started by none other than Bachelor villain Vienna Girardi, we have to take it with a grain of salt for now.

But she does sound fairly insistent that Emily & Chris are an item. Of their supposed romance, Vienna says:

From the beginning, I always said there was no way Emily was really going to end up with one of the guys because she really wanted to be with Chris, and it was obvious he wanted to be with her too. I guarantee Emily and Chris will end up together in the end. If she gets engaged to another man, the show will probably spin it as a love triangle.

Ever since Chris Harrison announced his divorce from his wife, Gwen, I've said he was a way better match for Emily than any of the other men on her show. And while Star (not to mention Vienna) isn't exactly the most reputable source -- stranger things have happened, right? (Fingers crossed. Em deserves a decent, mature man, and Chris definitely fits the bill.)

What do you think -- is it possible that Emily & Chris will wind up together?

Kelly Ripa said the same thing on her show when CHris Harrison was guest host. "Maybe Emily will end up you, Chris?"  Chris was still feeling the sting from the divorce announcement and didn't even give her comment validatity. People have been tweeting this in a joking manner also all over Twitter, Get Glued, Facebook and other social media.  I believe it is just more dirt to stir up the rumor mill...who cares what Vienna says anyways...no ta trustworthy source.  They will say anything to get ratings!!

I only watched the last episode because I heard that it was filmed in my home town. I mean what is the point of this show? This is so dumb, I can't even describe it! I couldn't watch it till the end, it was so embarrasing. I'm sorry that this beautiful and historic city became a backdrop of such garbage.

Nope, not Chris the young guy...he gets eliminated next week after meeting the parents according to RealitySteve. Arie, Sean and Jef are the final three via Wetpaint Bachelorette.

You had to see this coming..........she has more respect and affection for Chris than any other guy. Looks to me like she just wants to get it over with. I think it's great and if they're good for each other that's a bonus. They certainly make a stunning couple and when pictured together, their chemistry is perfectly evident. Go with your heart Emily...........if Chris is the guy....go for it..........also BOOst the ratings of that stupid show!

I saw it from the beginning & emailed my friend that Chris Harrison was drooling all over Emily, touching her by putting his arm around her when he got the chance, etc. After all, the guy is newly divorced & vulnerable. Not sure how old he is but his testosterone has probably regressed to a 13 yr old's. I'm sure he's got kids of his own but c'mon--using your show to find a new wife? Not kosher, to say the least. And kinda defeats the purpose of the show? Will they re-name it "Host Gets First Dibbs?". It's kinda like the host winning "Spin the Wheel.". Yowser! Will he have a job left when he tires of Emily's squeaky voice & boring personality? I doubt it.
