Now that we're approaching the hometown dates, fans of The Bachelorette are getting more and more curious about who Emily Maynard will pick in the end to live happily ever after with. Three of her final four guys, (Arie, Sean & Jef) are amazing, and she really can't go wrong by getting engaged to any of them. (And I won't even mention the fourth dude, Chris, because he's a total nut.)
But even though reports have come out that Emily does wind up with a ring on her finger at the end of her journey, there's now a rumor going around that she's actually in love with someone other than one of her remaining four guys -- and I can't help but be totally over-the-moon excited about the possibility of it being true.
Get this one -- Star Magazine has a report coming out in its new issue that Emily Maynard is dating Bachelorette host Chris Harrison.
OMG!!! If this story is true, can you say holy Bachelorette ratings GOLD? If she somehow does wind up with Chris at the end of this whole thing, especially if she gets engaged to someone else first, people will be more glued to their TV sets than ever. (Can you even imagine the drama on the "After the Final Rose" show?)
Ok, let me settle down for a second, because this is just a rumor at this point, and considering it was started by none other than Bachelor villain Vienna Girardi, we have to take it with a grain of salt for now.
But she does sound fairly insistent that Emily & Chris are an item. Of their supposed romance, Vienna says:
From the beginning, I always said there was no way Emily was really going to end up with one of the guys because she really wanted to be with Chris, and it was obvious he wanted to be with her too. I guarantee Emily and Chris will end up together in the end. If she gets engaged to another man, the show will probably spin it as a love triangle.
Ever since Chris Harrison announced his divorce from his wife, Gwen, I've said he was a way better match for Emily than any of the other men on her show. And while Star (not to mention Vienna) isn't exactly the most reputable source -- stranger things have happened, right? (Fingers crossed. Em deserves a decent, mature man, and Chris definitely fits the bill.)

Here's the funny thing though....at the beginning of the show, the way Chris looked at her when he interviewed her, I said to my husband, "he just got divorced and looks like he is in love with her!" He looks at her and speaks to her in a way that he has not spoken to any other female contestants on the show. And really, the timing of his divorce....I mean, after 18 years together with his wife, came at an odd time. NOT in line with THIS Bachelorette Season, BUT....if he has spent a lot of time with her since the Brad Season and has been involved in getting this Season lined up, he very well could have had an attraction to her that led to the demise of his marriage. (which was possibly troubled? Who knows?)
It's also interesting that Reality Steve hasn't (as of my last check) been able to nail down much of this Season, until just before or just after it has aired. I'm not sure he has even said who the final rose goes to yet and he has ALWAYS said waaaayyy before now. (and has only been wrong once...I think.)
Anyway...Chris could definitely pull strings for her in Hollywood I suppose with his TV history and from what I can tell, Miss Emily is ALL ABOUT being famous or being a "somebody". I have never liked her and don't buy her "Southern Sweetness" for a minute! (obviously I feel bad that her fiancee' died 6 years ago, but just dont buy her "sweet as apple pie" act!)
Did anybody watch her first season?? Come on, I liked her then, but felt she led Brad on and blamed it on him not being right for her daughter. She is so fake. Hate to say that about another Southern girl. I couldn't bring myself to watch her this time around.
