Pretty much all of Hollywood is buzzing about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie and who will be cast in the film's two leading roles, but some of the actors whose names are being dropped to play Christian Grey are really nothing short of ridiculous.
In the Fifty Shades of Grey book, Christian Grey is described as being incredibly handsome, with "unruly dark copper-colored hair & intense bright gray eyes." And in the words of Anastasia Steele, "If this guy is over thirty, then I'm a monkey's uncle."
Ok, we get it. Christian Grey is young -- so why are much older men being suggested to take on his role -- like 48-year-old John Stamos?
Yes, I said John Stamos. As in Uncle Jesse from Full House. (For real?!)
He's really hot and all, but he's way, way too old to be cast as Christian Grey. I mean, there are plenty of women who definitely wouldn't mind being his love slave, but I just can't see him romancing a naive, 20-something girl. And even though his co-star, Michael Rapaport, is insisting he's perfect for the role, even John admits thinking Ryan Gosling is a much better choice.
It almost seems like any actor who is remotely good looking is being considered for this part, regardless of their age or how well they fit the role. Take a look at the photos below to see 5 other ridiculously odd choices for the role of Christian Grey.
Do you think an older actor would work as Christian?

channing tatum? NO WAY. he's not good looking enough to watch in ANOTHER movie....
Christian Bale is not handsome enough. Chris Pine, Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer, yes. Christian Bale, never.
If older actors are allowed to continue the male fantasy of hypotizing younger women (and us into believing it), then Stamos totally fits the bill as the handsome, charmer psycho(path), who can command that role. His cable movies proved that. And his eyes can be made to look grey. Hopefully, they'll find a younger version of him.
I'd LOVE to see a "no name" actor/actress play these parts.
These guys are too well known for the part. I want a more unknown actor or lesser known one for Christian I'm just not sure who. Isn't the character only supposed to be around 27? Maybe a few years older than that?
Ryan Gossling. Definately a good choice
