Say What!?

Madonna’s DNA-Theft Paranoia Plus 7 Other Ridiculous Celebrity Demands (PHOTOS)

by Ericka Sóuter on June 25, 2012 at 1:56 PM

madonnaAs if Madonna's original demands weren't ridiculous enough, she now insists on having a "sterilization team" keep fans from getting their hands on her DNA.

The Diva's tour rider already required that each venue accommodate her 200 person entourage (which includes 30 bodyguards, an acupuncturist and several personal chefs), a dressing room decorated with lilies and white and pink roses with their stems cut exactly six inches and her hotel room furniture be replaced with items shipped in from her home.

Now the singer wants the dressing room and backstage area to be wiped clean to prevent genetic theft. Yes, genetic theft?!?!

Concert promoter Alvaro Ramos, who is handling her tour dates in Portugal, told the Winnipeg Free Press:

"We have to take extreme care, like I have never seen for any other artist. We cannot even look at the dressing room, after it is ready, or even open the door. We can only enter after her sterilisation team has left the room. There will not be any of Madonna's DNA, any hair, or anything. They will clean up everything."

Sounds crazy right? But these over-the-top requests are common among the A-list. Check out 10 more outrageous star demands below.

Do stars expect too much or do they deserve to get whatever they want?

Katy Perry

The "Teenage Dream" singer had 23 rules for her assigned driver during a 2011 US tour. Among them: He wasn't allowed to look at her through the rear view mirror nor start a conversation.

I used to work at an auditorium where some high named artists and celebrities came through. My favorite was the diva who insisted on no AC at the beginning of June in an auditorum packed with over 3,000 patrons. It made for some super happy people who had shelled out as much as $150 a ticket!

I think that, in the cases of the Foo Fighters and Marilyn Manson, they probably just wanted to see if such demands would actually be met.

Karmicchild, I think you're right. They probably just wanted to see happened. Lol. On one hand, ithink madonnas crazy about the dna team. But on the other,I can kindof understand where she's coming from. Who knows what insane things 'fans' have tried or threatened her with?

I'd be pretty happy with a couple jars of Cains pickles and a pitcher of ice water with lime slices in it. I like coloring books too- the stained glass ones are my favorite.

I'm a huge manson fan. And if you actually click on the link, it says it's a joke that's never been fufilled. But of course the stir won't include that bit so he looks like even more of a psycho. " shock rocket marilyn manson demands bald hooker" instead of " marilyn manson has sense of humor". Becausr if you don't like him, you're probably not checking the link. Gggrr. Rant over.

If you click on the link for the foo fighters, they made the rider into a coloring book with word searches.
    They didn't ask for them.
It also says the things they request are mainly for the roadies, which I think is awesome.

Madonna's getting pretty long in the tooth isn't she?
