Vicki Gunvalson's love tank has been overflowing on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She's head over heels for her new man, Brooks Ayers, but everyone else is skeptical and wondering just what kind of hot air he may be using to fill said love tank.
Her kids, her friends, and fellow Housewives all have big questions about Brooks and his intentions. Though Vicki has slammed Tamra Barney for not liking him and compared her to Jeana Keough from last year, Tamra recently told RumorFix that the two situations have nothing in common and that she's genuinely concerned for Vicki:
I simply don’t care for Brooks like everyone else, including her own family. I am worried for Vicki and feel she is being taken advantage of. At this point I have said all that I can and when she needs me I will be there for her.

This week on the finale of RHWOC, it looks like we're going to see more of the toll her relationship with Brooks is taking on her relationship with family and friends. Her daughter, Briana Wolfsmith, tells cameras:
She seems like she's OK with our relationship suffering, and her relationship with my brother suffering so that she can be with Brooks. It makes me kind of sad that she is willing to jeopardize her relationship with good friends or even her family to be with this guy.
Their concern seems justified too based on reports of him not paying child support payments, previous arrests, and general less-than-virtuous behavior.
The other puzzling question here: What in the world does Vicki see in him? He's not some hot stud. Sure the new teeth and wardrobe helped, but he's no Eddie Judge. Of course looks aren't everything, but as for any charm, if he possesses even an ounce, then Vicki is the only one who has seen it. As for viewers and anyone else he's met on the show, there's pretty strong agreement that he emits a strong creepy vibe.
In the last episode of RWHOC, Brooks gave Vicki a fur coat, which she offered up as proof that he isn't a broke opportunist. But where was the fancy box and packaging? Where was any proof it was real? He brought it in on a hanger, and could have just picked it up at the pawn shop down the street. Who knows, but even if it was the real deal, the coat certainly wasn't "proof" that he's not an opportunist.
I think Tamra and Vicki's family are right to be concerned. Not only because of Brooks' intentions, but about why Vicki -- who's a seemingly pretty smart lady in other matters -- would feel the need to be with this guy? Something truly seems to be wrong here, because love just can't be THAT blind ... can it?

We are all talking about Brooks but Vicky is no winner either....I mean she did throw a good man away!! Don!! BTW, he can afford a fur coat but not child support?
If Vicki saw one of her cast mates in the situation that she is in with Brooks, she'd be one of the first to yell 'foul'. I think she is afraid to be alone and he is cashing in on that. What is his job title? He's in practically every episode and many of them is filmed over several days. Anyone have any idea just how much in arrears he is in child support? A fur coat? Is it real? And as someone else mentioned maybe a pawn shop. I'm thinking he pilfered it from a coat check at a club or restaurant! Maybe we they were out shopping for his wardrobe she saw it and he said if he were able to he would buy it for her. She said "I'll buy it and we'll tell everyone that you bought it for me!". She said way too many times "Brooks bought it for me!", maybe if she says it enough she'll believe it.! I thought in previous shows he was asking too many questions as far as the money part of the divorce settlement.
He's creepy and an opportunist. He doesn't say what he means, he says what Vicki needs to hear and she is just sucking it up like a Hoover. He was trying to play slick with her kids and they saw through it and blew him off. In the end once Brooks is through with her, she will have lost more than she will in her divorce!
Did everybody miss the part where he said "he got the coat for her for the night" (rental) he didn't buy it for her...geez!! Why did she tell everyone he bought her a coat?? Delusional much...and whats with her screaming in Tamra's face over him...what a psycho...she had no problem slamming everyone else's man on the show...but don't anyone dare talk about the skeezball aka Brooks....
I dont think she even really likes him too much. She is just too afraid of being alone to let him go.
