Alec Baldwin's Latest Paparazzi Scuffle Shows He'll Never Change (VIDEO)

by Kiri Blakeley on June 20, 2012 at 11:06 AM

One of the advantages of aging is that you mellow out a bit and stop letting the little things in life drive you crazy. Unless you're Alec Baldwin. If you're Alec Baldwin, decades of dealing with pushy photographers have not mellowed your desire to smack a paparazzo upside the head. Almost 20 years after first getting into a scuffle with a pap, 54-year-old Alec was at it again yesterday, allegedly attacking a Daily News photographer. Oh Alec, has your yoga instructor fianceé taught you nothing about finding your inner Zen?

Alec took to Twitter, defending himself by saying that no attack ever took place and that the photographer is making the whole thing up. He then changed his tune somewhat and said the pap got angry that someone was blocking his shot, pushed into him, and he was just defending himself. In one tweet, he suggested paps should be "waterboarded." He also compared the incident to the Trayvon Martin killing. Really, Alec?

I don't think anyone has much sympathy for paparazzi. Even Justin Bieber got into a kerfluffle when one of them blocked the teen heartthrob's car. But the photos of the incident with the Daily Mail pap show that the photographer is pretty far away from you, Alec. And it shows you charging him, not vice versa. So, I don't know what to think here, other than that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

For instance, there was that time two years ago when Alec went after a pap near Central Park. And then there was the time he got booted off American Airlines for refusing to put away his phone game. Oh, and let's not forget the time he ranted into his daughter Ireland's voicemail, calling her a "thoughtless little pig." Alec's ex-wife, Kim Basinger, called him a "tin-pot tyrant and a bully." Is it always everyone else?

But at least Alec's fianceé, Hilaria Thomas, cannot say she didn't know what she was getting into. Perhaps she can downward dog Alec into serenity.

What do you think of Alec's latest temper tantrum?

Isn't there an island someplace we can send him and Sheen where we never have to see or hear from either of them again?

I'm sorry, but paparrazzo have gotten way out of hand with their intrusiveness. I have no issue with someone taking pictures while a celebrity is in public. Its when photographers are being sneaky, overbearing and taunt the celebrity into an angry place and then snap photos of their reactions or sue them because of it.

I've no sympathy for the paparrazzi... when you shove your camera in someone's face 24/7, you take your safety in to your own hands, and IMO, you get what you deserve.   Yes, they live their lives in the public eye, but there is such a thing as taking it too far.

Way to go Alec Baldwin. These paparazzi have to be stopped. They're a danger and a menace to society and they have all the rights. BS!!

Baldwin is such a tool. I can't believe any woman is dumb enough to marry him at this point.
