The Fifty Shades of Grey books have already created a nationwide obsession with all things erotic -- and now people can't stop talking about who should play the main characters in the movie version. Supposedly fans are eager to see Blake Lively cast in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie as Anastasia Steele's beautiful (and skeptical) roommate -- Kate Kavanagh.
And judging from Kate's description in the book, it's easy to see why Blake is a great choice for the role. Kavanagh has green eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and her personality is said to be "articulate, strong, persuasive, and argumentative." Lively fits the role both physically and because of her raw confidence -- but she'd also probably be a pretty good fit for the leading role of Anastasia Steele as well. (Hear me out before you roll your eyes, please.)
First of all, Blake has never read or even heard of Fifty Shades of Grey, so she'd be able to go into the movie role without any preconceived notions about how she's supposed to play Ana. (Meaning she won't be trying to do her best Kristen Stewart impression.)
And while she doesn't immediately come to mind as an obvious choice for Ana simply because she's so sophisticated and gorgeous -- she could definitely be "dolled down" a bit to fit the role physically. If her hair were dyed a dark shade of brown and she didn't wear too much makeup, she'd be a great fit for Anastasia Steele's character.
And even though Ana is very naive and awkward, whoever plays her in the movie version is going to have to have a certain degree of sex appeal. Steele is inexperienced and naive, but she also has absolutely no problem getting down to business, if you know what I mean. Whatever actress is selected needs to have a decent amount of confidence and a strong screen presence to play her -- and Blake Lively may be just the girl to take on the challenge.
(Especially if her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds manages to get cast as Christian Grey. How hot would it be to watch them together?)
Do you think Blake should be cast in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and which role is better for her?

No def not! I think she could play Kate though. I'm still rooting for Jennifer Love Hewitt to play Ana
she IS Kate NOT ANA .. ANA WAS DARK HAIRED . THE ANA IN THE BOOK IS VERY YOUNG AND STUPID IN HER ACTIONS WITH CHRISTIAN . SHE IS TO JEALOUS OF HIM . JUMPS TO HER OWN CONCULISONS OF WHAT IS . NOT REALITY FOR ME . , YES I COULD SEE RYAN AS CHRISTIAN NOT ANY BLONDE HAIRED OR WEAK MALE .
No. Just, no.
