If you haven't read Fifty Shades of Grey yet, then it's pretty safe to say you're a little bit behind the curve. Because everybody who's anybody is reading it (duh), including plenty of celebrities. And as for the famous folks who don't have their noses buried deep in the book? Yeah, they're at least talking about it -- or talking about the possibility of starring in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
The anticipation of the film has become just as big a phenomenon as the actual book itself -- as many A-listers can't resist throwing their name into the ring as a contender to play Anastasia Steele or Christian Grey. Of course, there is at least one leading lady who isn't too keen on the idea of smearing her squeaky clean image by having insane amounts of kinky sex.

When Selena Gomez was asked whether or not she would consider taking on the Anastasia role, she said, “I know I’m taking risks but I don’t think I could do that. That would be a little too much for me.”
But countless other celebs are definitely up for the challenge, or at least aren't afraid to be vocal about being obsessed with the book.
Here's a roundup of what some of the most well known names in Hollywood are saying about Fifty Shades of Grey.
Hilary Duff -- "I feel a little dirty reading that book right now." And as for the movie, she added, "Personally, I would love if Ryan Gosling would do it, but I know he never would."
Audrina Patridge tweeted -- "Who's read 50 Shades of Grey? I'm going to start reading the first book tomorrow, pretty excited."
Ryan Seacrest -- "I'm obsessed. And I'm using it as a manual. I think it can be a study book for a lot of people."
Ashley Benson -- "I've read every book. I want to play Anastasia."
Karina Smirnoff -- "Friends told me it was a must-read, so I finally gave in and bought it. It’s definitely the kind of book that makes you blush, yet it’s so well written."
Ian Somerhalder -- "I absolutely would be up for that. I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out. Yes, beyond the shadow of a doubt I think that would be a phenomenal opportunity!"
Lucy Hale -- "I just finished the first [book]– I’m speechless. I think every girl on the carpet wants to play [Ana]! That would be freaking awesome. I’m really curious to see how they’re going to turn it into a film."
Miley Cyrus -- She tweeted: "Reading Fifty Shades of Grey next to the oldest dude ever. #awkward."
Alexander Skarsgard -- "Where do I sign? He's got a sex chamber? My character [Eric Northman] has that on ‘True Blood.' He's got his little dungeon. I was born to play that part."
Chris Pine -- "It’d be a hell of a choice for me, I think. It sounds like an interesting film."

I would love to see celebs who aren't overly popular/exposed to portray Ana and Christian. I would personally love to see someone like Emily Browning play Ana. How about Hollywood boosting the careers of those celebs who are not attention-hungry?!
I think Alexander Skaarsgard would be a good fit for christian. I would buy my tickets now for an all day showing and request the day off to watch and the rest of the week to recover! ;))
I would choose someone that is kindof unknown for Ana. Alexander Skarsgard for Christian is the best idea ever. I would sit outside for days waiting on tickets to see him play that part. That man is Yummy!!
I loved these books. I read them at least 8-9 times and still reading them. I love me some Christian Grey. I think Ryan Gosling should play Christian and Anna Kendrick, Emma Stone or Ashley Greene for Anastasia. Please oh please DO NOT give these roles to Robert Pattison or Kristen Stewart they are all wrong for these roles. Laters, baby.
