You know the phrase, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks"? Well, Chris Brown is only 23, but he sure doesn't seem like he's interested in shedding that bad reputation of his any time soon. If in the past he's been known for being a hotheaded, unrepentant, trigger-happy, immature, incredibly violent person -- his recent physical altercation with rapper Drake (or Drake's entourage, details are still unclear) proves that things with Brown can basically be filed under "business as usual."
The two rappers, who apparently like to refer to themselves as Breezy and Drizzy (because nothing says hardcore gangsta like a couple of nicknames that sound like feminine hygiene products), ended up involved in some sort of bloody brawl during the early hours of Thursday morning, and Brown's subsequent tweet about the incident is just CLASSIC.
(Whereas "classic" = makes him look like a damn fool, of course.)
According to initial reports, Brown and Drake were hanging (separately, I assume) at a Manhattan nightclub when things went off the rails around 4 a.m. Brown’s crew supposedly sent Drake’s party a bottle of champagne, which was returned to Brown along with a note that read, "I’m still f**king Rihanna."
Or maybe it was the other way around, with Rihanna's ex Drake as the one who wrote the note to Rihanna's ex Brown. Or maybe there was no note, and it wasn't about Rihanna at all? I don't know, this whole thing is VERY CONFUSING.
At any rate, somebody supposedly threw a bottle at someone else, and whether it was Drake or, as he's now claiming, someone named Meek Mill that was the instigator, Brown definitely ended up with a gash on his chin. We know this, you see, because he ran home and tweeted a photo of it, along with this charming commentary:
How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!
You've gotta love the "throwing bottles like girls" dig, because that really shows how far Brown has come in his journey towards treating women with respect, don't you think?
By the time the cops showed up, Drake and Brown had naturally fled the scene, but five dudes ended up being taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
As for Brown, he's up to his old tricks: the tweet and photo he posted have already been deleted. When's this guy going to learn? I mean, about ANYTHING, but maybe specifically about how the freaking Internet works?
Are you even remotely surprised to hear that Chris Brown was involved in yet another violent altercation?
