Twilight fans, start your engines -- a flurry of new images of 11-year-old actress Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee Cullen in Breaking Dawn Part 2 have been released, and they have to be seen to be believed.
As you probably know, Renesmee is the half-human, half-vampire baby of Bella and Edward (When a sparkly daddy loves a human mommy very, very much …) We only got a quick peek at baby Renesmee at the end of Breaking Dawn Part 1, but thanks to a spectacular photo spread by Entertainment Weekly, you can now see the entire vampy family in character.
The pictures are really well done, and I have to say, whoever cast Foy for the role should get a biscuit -- because her resemblance to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson is downright eerie.

I mean, wow, right? Mackenzie Foy is a gorgeous little girl, and I swear she really looks like she could be their daughter.
In news that's sure to delight fans, Director Bill Condon said that Pattinson and Stewart really embraced their parental roles in Foy's presence:
They were amazing with her. It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.
Pattinson said the cast tried to tone down their shenanigans in front Foy, and that she raked in some serious cash in the process:
We’re all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore. You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around. She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.
As for Foy's eyebrow-raising physical similarities with her cinematic parents? Stewart said it actually made a difference in her own performance:
Even our hands look similar. It was kind of strange. But it’s funny how it actually helps. It’s like, ‘Oh, hey, you look like me, kid! Come on!’

Well, here's the part where I lose most of you by confessing that I thought Breaking Dawn Part 1 was terrible. I especially hated the CGI wolves, and Bella's endlessly creepy withering self was just dreary to watch after a while.
I'm tentatively bullish on Part 2 on November 16, though. I'm thinking the final flick in the franchise has a better shot at improving on some of the things people didn't love in the earlier films (WOLVES), and based on these cast photos, the characters look great. I never liked the idea of Renesmee in the books, but on film? Well, Mackenzie Foy might just change my mind.

Wow! Awesome casting! She really DOES look like them a lot! I didnt like Breaking Dawn part 1 that much either but I read all the books, so I expected not to like it. I CANNOT wait for part 2 though because it is sure to be awesome!
I agree with the author...i hated watching bella wither away into nothing. It got annoying. I was just too....I cant find the words. The whole time i was watching it i was thinking to myself "really? she (kristen stweart) had to become that thin and gaunt in real life for the movie...that cant be healthy...think of how she's screwing her metabolism and bpdy up all for an acting gig." she may be making millions, but all the money in the wold cant buy health and a reversal to any damage done to your body.
I really liked the movies up until this last one...maybe the part 2 will be better?
I haven't seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 yet, but I hope I like it more then you did. I wouldn't call myself a fan of this series, but I've always been obsessed with vampires(before it was "cool") and I like to know what everyone is talking about. That little girl does look like she could really be their child and I must admitt I do really want to see how that all plays out.
etk - speaking from experience(was already tiny and lost a lot of weight quickly due to a health problem), I can tell you she will most likely be fine. She is young and obviously has a high metabolism that, if its anything like mine(I'm, I think, one year older than her and thin), will bounce back.
Kristen didn't loose weight for the movie it was done with computer graphics. Guess that's why it looks so creepy!
I MYSELF LOVED ALL OF THE TWILIGHT MOVIES AND THE ACTOR'S.ESPECIALLY KRISTEN STEWART. I HAVE SEEN HER IN SEVERAL OTHER MOVIES, AND FOUND HER TO BE VERY TALENTED. IT HAS TO BE HARD TO GET IN FRONT OF A CAMERA, AND CONVIENCE PEOPLE THAT YOU ARE THAT PERSON. MAY I APPLAUSE THE CAST OF THE TWILIGHT SERIES.PLEASE KEEP ON PUSHING FORWARD.
That is a gorgeous little girl but too old for Renesmee. They talk about her being the size of a two year old. That girl looks more like a 10 year old.
