Robert PattinsonCan you picture Robert Pattinson freaking out and getting all heated and having a verbal fight -- with a woman? It seems kind of unlikely given his subdued demeanor, but apparently even he has a bit of a tough time controlling his temper -- when he's loaded up on booze, of course. (Happens to the best of us.)

Most women (even A-list celebs) would probably be thrilled to have Rob talk to them regardless of what he's saying or the tone of voice he's using, but one gal who's known for her powerful set of pipes wasn't impressed by comments he made to her at a party. But instead of running home and crying into her pillow -- it sounds like she gave it right back to him.

And are you really all that surprised to hear that the woman he argued with was none other than the fabulous Adele? Because something tells me she had absolutely no qualms about standing up to Sparkles. (She's one tough cookie.)

Their conversation started off with Rob trying to give her a little friendly advice. He said, "[I told her] you know, you can really just reach for it!'" Adele's response was: "You do realize I'm, like, the biggest selling female artist ever." (Touche!)

And I guess after that, things got really heated, because though he didn't divulge exactly what he said to her, Rob admits feeling horrible the next day -- and regretting his words something fierce.

I'm sure Adele is over their encounter at this point, and hopefully she finds it just as humorous as the rest of us do. There's no harm in a little bit of back and forth banter between celebs, right?
