It feels like the first season of Jersey Shore was just yesterday. I remember being so dumbfounded that Snooki, The Situation, JWoww, and the crew were given their own show on MTV, and I was so flustered trying to figure out what made it different than The Real World aside from its upped guido factor.

Which is why it makes me a little sad to tell all of you that season 6, which they started filming May 31 down in Seaside Heights, may be the original crew's last hurrah. In fact, it may be the end of Jersey Shore as we know it! A recent report from In Touch claims that the Jersey Shore phenomenon is ending with its original cast members after this season. But eeeee, don't fret just yet Shore fanatics. MTV has denied this, saying that there has been no FINAL decision yet that this is the final season.

You know what I say? If the original crew is out after season 6, then Jersey Shore as we know it is over. No one can fist pump like this crew does, period.

Not just anyone can walk onto Jersey Shore and own Seaside Heights like the original cast has. The show wouldn't be the same without the bickering between Sammi and Ronnie, watching Deena get blackout, or seeing Pauly D do his hair using four bottles of gel. Am I right, or am I right?

If the In Touch report is true, then I say this is a good time to end it all. Now that Snooki's about to be a mom and The Situation has his own situation to take care of -- the cast is about ready to pick up and start the rest of their lives. Sure it's been real, but I think it's time to leave things off in Jersey while they're ahead. Of course, that depends on what your definition of "ahead" is.
