Hasn't it been fun to watch Robert Pattinson take on movie roles that are much deeper and more dramatic than Twilight? He's definitely proving himself to be a very serious actor, and that's why the idea of seeing him star in an "R" rated flick is a very exciting thought. And according to Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey, the odds of Rob doing movie that caters to the 18 and over crowd is a definite possibility.
Supposedly Rob is a huge fan of a book called The Professionals, and a movie version is also in the works, which would be a modern-day Bonnie & Clyde story. Rob as Clyde? As in the bank robber? Bring. It. On.
Maybe I'm just a really bored 34-year-old mom with nothing else to daydream about, but I can't help but be intrigued by the idea of seeing Rob portrayed as a gangster carrying around a gun and committing crimes. Can't you just picture him in a three-piece suit driving around in an old-time car pointing a loaded gun out the window with a cigarette sticking out of the corner of his mouth? (Be still, my heart.)
And aside from the action scenes in the film, it would also be interesting to see a more mature love story unfold between Rob's character and whoever plays the role inspired by Bonnie. But something tells me they'd have to cast someone a little older and a bit more bold than Kristen Stewart for that part. For whatever reason, she just doesn't seem dominant enough to do the whole bank robbing thing.

If Rob gets cast in this film, who would you pick to play alongside him as the Bonnie-inspired character?
