Another day, another True Blood trailer to get us pumped for the season premiere June 10, and this latest one is seriously thrill-inducing, teasing us with all the action we can expect in Season 5. Oh, no doubt there will be steamy vampire sex and warped romance as only True Blood can do it, but this is not the trailer for that. This is the trailer that makes you realize this show, the characters, the actors, the writing is just all-around awesome.
Just about every major cast member was in this quick-edit one (though they could have gone a little heavier on the Eric). Loved seeing Law & Order's Chris Meloni as a new character, the vampire Roman, and Russell Edgington back in action. Denis O'Hare is way too extraordinary of an actor not to bring back from his cold cement grave. You just can't get too many memorable lines the likes of: "You are not our equals. We will eat you .... after we eat your children."
True Blood is brilliant for its damn funny lines that just stick with you long after the season is over. You'll hear these gems from Season 5 in the video, but I just couldn't wait, had to share right now:
"I want to gorge on human blood because I like it!" -- Russell Edgington
"A 3,000-year-old vampire wants to suck my blood? Must be Thursday." -- Sookie Stackhouse
"You survive, baby, you always do. But goddamn do you leave a trail of bodies behind. You know what, you are the angel of death." -- Lafayette
"Suffering does not kill the appetite for power." -- Roman
"I trust no one." -- Eric Northman

DAMN!!! How can I pick I favorite?? I CAN'T!!! Looks like this is going to be a great season!
Up until a few weeks ago, I had never watched a single episode of True Blood. That was when one of my sisters(a certifiable "Truebie", I assure you) finally convinced me to give it a try. Skeptical as I was, I watched the very first episode...and then I watched the second episode...and then I realized it was 1am and I had basically "chain smoked" all but the last two episodes of the first season! I ended up watching all four seasons in less than a week. I refuse to call myself a "Truebie" (and while I root for his character, I think Alexander Skarsgard looks a little odd), but I am definitely a convert who is eagerly anticipating the new season. Oh, and I got my husband hooked on the show too!
