Plenty of actresses are eyeing the role of Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and now it looks like Selena Gomez could possibly be thrown into the mix as a contender. Yes, Selena Gomez. As in the Disney star. As in Justin Bieber's girlfriend. I don't know whether to laugh or cry out of sheer panic at the thought of her innocent reputation being smeared by mommy porn.

At 19 years old, Selena is no baby, so I guess it really won't be a huge shock if she's toying with the idea of being Christian Grey's love slave. If nothing else, she's definitely interested in the book, judging from the new Funny or Die spoof she made called "Fifty Shades of Blue."

In Selena's version, she plays Anastasia's character and can't seem to fight her hungering lust for a painter who shows up at her door.

Pretty hysterical, right? Seriously though, how gross was that dude? If he cleared his throat one more time, I probably would've gagged.

All joking aside, however, I'm just not sure Selena is the right fit to play Anastasia Steele. She does look good on paper, being that she's about the right age, and she has the whole sweet and innocent thing down to a science. But somehow I just can't picture her getting all raunchy and submissive. (She does date the Biebs, after all. He doesn't strike me as the take-charge type.) Selena just seems a bit too squeaky clean for this role -- and honestly, I think it would flush her reputation right down the toilet.
